"The Entertainment was patchy with limited day time activities, although new Cruise Directors and the Pandemic and social distancing could be why.Overall, an enjoyable cruise but Saga need to address some of the onboard matters to retain new cruisers and satisfy existing loyal customers...."Read More

Spirit of Adventure Baltic Cruise June 2022
This was our second cruise on this one year old Saga ship the first being in January to the Canaries.
We have previously cruised ships mainly frequented by a more international demographic and were initially reticent to try Saga before the two new " boutique " ships were brought into operation. The new ships offer an all balcony smaller ship ...
In fairness the cabins & waiting staff have been wonderful, however our dreadful experience occurred in the Britannia Lounge when our party of six tried to move a chair - the young lady Hostess (Ms P) stormed over to our table and was most aggressive saying we couldn’t sit together and then went to call security, we had very politely tried to explain we were allowed to seat together as a group of ...
I chose this cruise line mainly for the newness of the ship the small ship ,which we prefer the home pick up and return and all inclusive.
Very smooth pick up very slick covid testing both lateral flow and PCR . Living near the port we were not picked up until late and didn't get to our cabin until 4.45 pm. At 5pm life boat drill happened and by time we had unpacked it was gone 6.30pm
So ...
Picked up from house by taxi and on arrival at Southampton had covid test in car and on result proceeded to ship. After check-in we were taken to our cabin which was great with loads of storage space. The only downside was the wardrobe which was too narrow making it difficult to access clothes especially on right side. The first few days we had to wear masks in all public places which we expected, ...
After driving several times around the Southampton Cruise Terminal car parks to be Covid tested, we finally arrived at check-in. Thereafter, we were treated not as adults capable of making our own decisions on acceptable levels of risk, but as naughty 5-year-olds unable to function without orders or correction. We had entered a regime of mandatory (and strictly enforced) face mask wearing in all ...
Although I enjoyed this cruise it was not the same standard as the Spirit of Discovery. The pick up was excellent and quickly went through testing check in and boarding. The same could not be said about departure where the taxi driver yet again went to the wrong terminal and I was left waiting a long time. The ship is similar to discovery. Booking of speciality restuarants differs, you can only ...
This 2 week cruise down the French/Spanish/Portuguese coast was an excellent way to get back into cruising. It was our 7th Saga cruise and the second on the new Saga ships. As usual, we were picked up from home and , on this occasion, taken to Tilbury docks. The embarkation procedure was somewhat chaotic with too many taxis arriving at the same time. Coupled with the requirement for 2 COVID tests, ...
We chose to go with Saga for the first time because of their 2 new 'Boutique' ships which are more the size we like (50k tonnes and under 1000 passengers). For a new vessel the Spirit of Adventure lacks any 'WOW' factor, everything is just 'nice'. It's best feature is the stern of the ship with a winding staircase that runs down from deck 12 (outside Veranda) to deck 6 with seating and standing ...
Should have been sailing to Greenland but the pandemic interfered and the period of time was used to accommodate three short cruises. We initially booked the first two, but while on board added the final cruise to Shetland and Scotland.
We ( my wife and I) have been regular passengers on Saga cruises for many years and have never been disappointed.
The ship is a delight. Decoratively, the ...
