General insight
I am late 30's, my spouse is mid 40's. This outing was to praise our 15 year celebration and it was our first time to Europe. The #1 recommendation I would provide for anybody on an outing like this is to do your exploration and arrange a long ways ahead keeping in mind the end goal to make the most out of each day - one day in a major European city obliges much development ...
First of all, the cabin: Biggest balcony so far, and sizable closet area. Usual bedroom and bathroom, shower.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Had a great experience at the steakhouse dining, where our waitress was very funny and knowledgeable.
We signed up for anytime dining, and it was easy to reserve a table for 2 at the time of our choosing. Although the food is still hotel style, it was ...
We booked our air from FLL to BCN with Princess on Delta at a reasonable price and then booked our own hotel in Barcelona for a couple of nights prior to embarkation. A short cab ride took us to the terminal. Boarding in Barcelona was quick and easy which set the tone for what could have been a great cruise. never The security process getting on the ship after each port call was difficult. I have ...
We really enjoyed this cruise – primarily because of the interesting ports and the tours we took. This cruise was unique because so much time was spent off ship. This cruise was more about the ports and onshore experiences rather than shipboard experiences. We will always remember the things we saw.
We are late 50’s and early 60’s, Platinum cruisers on Princess and Carnival. Our last cruise was a ...
Just returned after 12 days in the Med on board the Ruby Princess, it is my second time with this line after doing the Panama relocation on the Sea Princess. I read the reviews about the Ruby and I did have concerns about her size and the number of Passengers. I also read a lot of negative reviews about service, food etc, which I guess is down to individual taste.
Ok so here is my view of this ...
I have mixed feelings about this cruise. We booked it because of the all the great ports and the slamming airfare deal that Princess Air gave us. But, a month or so before the cruise, we are informed that we now have a five (5) hour layover in Germany. Princess Easy Air had us walking across the tarmac 5 different times and FAR away from our next connecting flights. In this case, Princess Easy Air ...
Well-trained and consistently-trained staff. Unfailingly (apparently) happy in their work and with good people skills.
Good sense of humour (necessary to rebuff the complaints about the food).
Relentless up selling of drink options. (I don't WANT your "special" marguerita - I want an ordinary one!)
Poor organisation in breakfast buffet, though with all waiting staff either assigned to drinks ...
We went on the Ruby Princess a few weeks ago, The ship has some good features which were different from other ships such as the Cinema under the stars. The entertainment was excellent with top quality shows and a brilliant entertainment director.
The food on the other hand was not up to standard, we found poor choice and quality, and rarely found we had a hot meal. Variety was not order of the ...
This was a very fast paced cruise. Ten ports in 12 days gave you a taste of Europe but it was exhausting. For the first time European traveler it was almost too much. You should understand that there is not enough time to see everything in each port.
We went in October and experienced perfect touring weather, upper 60's to lower 70's, however, a couple days of rain. It should be noted that it is ...
We had a very speedy boarding in Barcelona and set sail for Toulon. We have sailed on Princess before and the ship was to the same high standard of decor. The staff on board this ship are all very happy to be there and you get the impression of a very well organised and efficient ship - our cabin steward Vitor was amazing and nothing was too much trouble, as was our waiter for our fixed dining ...
