We had booked this as cruise only so I will only talk about the cruise. We arrived at he ship at 14:30 the embarkation was simple and easy, very efficient. We were meeting our friends on the ship and they were waiting for us. We are a married couple in our mid-30's and are not usually cruisers, but booked this mainly for the destinations. Overall the cruise went well, despite a minor bout of food sickness. Embarkation went very smoothly, although it was quite a walk to get from the train to the ship in Venice. As itineraries go, this by far was our best vacation ever. Every stop was an adventure. We did not take any shore excursions thru Princess. We have learned from past cruises that private tour guides are the best. This time we were not disappointed.
