I was travelling with my oldest son (aged 33). We decided on separate cabins - for a bit of peace and quiet. We chose Baja Deck (Deck 11) because it had only cabins around it and no adjacent public areas. The specific cabin was not too close to stairways or escalators. The cabin was plenty big for one and I think for a couple it would be absolutely fine. There is good storage space, with a fair number of hangers, as well as drawer space. The bed was great. The cabin was clean throughout (although we both took hygienic wipes for an initial clean of the usual areas). The bathroom was tight as expected but not too bad. I am 6ft 2 but didn’t struggle too badly with the shower. Read Less

I like the layout of the cabin. When you enter there's a short hallway to the right that contains the closet/safe area. This gives a little privacy as the bathroom door doesn't open right into the main bedroom; you have to take a step or two into the short hallway to get into the bathroom. The decor is a bit dated but for the most part it is in good shape. Temperature control worked well and all of the facilities (bathroom, outlets, etc.) worked fine. The shower is tiny, but in line with what I'd expect for an inside cabin on a cruise ship. We had our daughter with us, but for adults, a big positive would be the fact that you're a few steps to the door that leads directly to the adults-only pool. It's also nice being on 14 because getting to the buffet and pool is just a quick trip up one flight of stairs. A few drawbacks: First, we would get a strong fuel smell when we were in port. Not enough to make anyone sick, but definitely unpleasant. Second, the location on a high deck in the aft of the ship means that when seas are rough, you're moving a lot. This was our fifth cruise and we've never experienced anything like what we felt. My wife is pretty immune to seasickness, but even she was having trouble feeling comfortable. This one's on us for choosing that specific location (for a lower price), but be aware if you're sensitive to motion. The good news is that for the first six days, the ship is going very slowly, so only on the last day when we were doing 20 knots back to LA did we even notice it. Finally, there is definitely a sound of dragging chairs, tables, and carts from above. Typically early in the morning, but also throughout the day. Hard sleepers probably won't notice, but we were a little bothered by the noise. Read Less

Actually liked the cabin except the temp and the pillows. The spacing was fine, the baths were fine - it was one part of the ship I didn't have much issue with.

Nice enough. New beds are great! Nice window view with no obstruction even though we paid a reduced rate expecting an obstructed view. Lots of squeaks and squaks in door and wall frame last rough sea day, that kept my wife awake.
