We had a lovely balcony room on the 14th Floor- R620- this spacious room had more than adequate storage space for suitcases under the bed and a huge walk in wardrobe area with plenty of hanging space for clothes. This floor was great as the buffet and main pool were only one floor up and if you walked all the way across the corridor you could get to the pool and bar at the back of the ship. The bathroom, like on most ships, is very compact- the running joke on the cruise was ‘what happens when you slip over in the shower? - nothing, you can’t go anywhere’.We never had any issues with water temperature or pressure. There was also a handy drying line in the shower where you could hang up any clothes you had washed by hand. We were not far from the Laundry room but this got very busy towards the end of the trip and we thought it was expensive. My word of advice is that if you like to use a hairdryer to blow dry your hair make sure you BRING YOUR OWN! The hairdryer in the room is useless, it was easier for me to sit on the balcony and let my hair dry naturally, this was quicker than using the world’s slowest hairdryer! We were only woken up a couple of mornings by people moving around the sunbeds on the deck above us- but never heard any other noise.I was glad we were not further down the corridor toward the laundry room- there seemed to be an unpleasant ‘smell’ from a cupboard which I can only imagine was to do with the toilets- it wasn’t pleasant and was there for the majority of the stay, I don’t know if anything could be smelt in the rooms in that area though. Our balcony was spacious and being the top deck meant that no one was overlooking us which we liked, we however could see down into everyone’s balcony’s (I think people forget this and we did spot a lot of people in their underwear!) Beds on Princess remain uncomfortable! Cleaning practices are questionable. Smoking passengers on a non-smoking cruise were not reported! I think of the ship as mid- line cruise not bare bones but not luxury.

Really liked being in the aft part of the ship. Two floors down from the Horizon Court/Lido Deck and then just down the stairs to the Deck 7 or Deck 5 to eat. Very convenient.

Our cabin was on the Baja Deck 239 Back to our room to unpack a few things. I LOVE the cabin set up. The closet is about 5 feet long, with plenty of hangers. There are several shelves for other clothing items along with the safe. The bathroom is standard for a cruise ship, it has a shower curtain - which clings sometimes. I certainly hope Princess goes to the sliding glass doors on their new ship as well as having a proper place to put your shampoo and soap so they don't fall in the floor all the time. A place to put your leg while shaving would be nice too. The refrigerator was very cold which is great! One thing Princess does is put your ice bucket inside the refrigerator. It is a thermas bucket, that you could keep outside if you want, but it helps keep your ice frozen longer while tucked in the fridge. Nice idea! Beds were extremely comfortable. Balcony had some type of blue material with a design on them that let water seep through to the bottom. The Blue was very nice although a bit tough on bare feet. Two chairs and a table made it really nice to sit outside and take in the view of Ft. Lauderdale before we departed. Read Less

We enjoyed the balcony cabins and thought they were quite comfortable. Some drawers in the desk would have been nice. The location was fine.
