This is a balcony cabin with a larger than normal balcony that is completely covered. This is the last room on the Starboard side of the ship prior to the Aft facing cabins. The balcony is at an angle and has a partial forward view. The room was in great condition. The new bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean. The air conditioning unit worked well and kept the room nice and cool as we like it. We did not try the heat settings. The balcony divider can be opened and is connected to A743. The sliding door to the balcony closed and opened easily. The bathroom was small, as all the "normal" bathrooms are, and had a clingy shower curtain. Water pressure in the shower was great and there was plenty of hot water. The room was great and added to the enjoyment of our cruise. Read Less

Loved this deluxe balcony cabin. Clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the deck chairs and table were adequate. Everything you need in a cruise cabin for 7 nights. The shower and bathroom is small, but not unexpectedly so. One HUGE benefit of having a deluxe cabin on Caribe deck on Ruby in Alaska is the fact that there is a couple of feet of covered deck in these cabins. Most of the other balcony cabins on other decks do not have this. When we cruised in May in Alaska there was often mist or some rain and having this covering allowed us to be outside viewing the ice bergs, landscape etc. to photograph it and keep ourselves and our camera equipment warm and dry. Overall, a Nice Trip : Cabin c-707
Fine. We ask NOT to be upgraded, since that often means a slightly larger "mini-suite" at the cost of less balcony. Staying toward the rear of the ship means shorter walks if you want to bring some buffet food to your cabin.
