It was recommended by our travel agency so I will try to be fair but also clear on my assessment.
Outstanding service and cleanliness all the employees were top notch with friendliness and helpfulness.
The food in the buffet was cheap and really poor quality the other restaurants on the ship were very good but beware the cost will stifle you to a point you will lower your view they of them ...
Decent cruise. Staff was polite, professional, and very helpful.
Ship itself was clean and well maintained.
Sometimes the elevators had a bit of a wait, but nothing horrible.
Long lines/wait for gelato. Food was ok. Not fantastic, but not bad. Hard to get reservations at the desired times - but we were able to tag into other cruise-mates reservations to make it work.

Royal Princess to Alaska Seattle round-trip was a great cruise. I went with a friend, her young son and her brother in early August. Embarkation was super easy, and I found the Blue Lane vs Green Lane to be a meaningless distinction, and picked up my medallion at the same desk as registration, and from getting out of the cab around 11am to being on board took less than 20 minutes.

Our travel agent recommended us to go with Royal Princess for our Alaska cruise as they had the best itinerary. The excursions were great. The day at the glacier on the ship was ok but, even though we went to two, one was so far away, there was no way we could see anything. Disappointing. The on-board activities were uninteresting. A lot of 'game show' activities. My husband went to one "Can you ...
We chose this cruise to escape from Dallas where the temperatures are consistently three digit. It was our first Princess cruise, our second Alaska cruise, and about our 25th ocean or river cruise. We booked a mini suite with balcony. This is definitely a ship oriented toward families and a 40-50 year old passenger demographic.
Our experience doesn't support comments elsewhere about the Royal ...
Royal Princess
This was our first cruise and we we’re celebrating our 30 year anniversary with family as well as celebrating our parents 64th!
I honestly was disappointed and might of had too high of expectations. Couple of items that are a must; a balcony room (mid to forward ship mid floor) to escape to so you can privately enjoy the Alaska scenery and escape the 3500 guests on board. ...
We elected to go on a cruise as it seemed like the easiest way to experience Alaska. From that perspective, this cruise met our needs. The Alaskan ports offered good opportunities to experience the beautiful sights of Alaska. Still, the experience is downgraded by the touristy, completely overcrowded downtowns of the ports themselves. The downtowns seem to be mostly staffed by temporary summer ...
We have cruised about 8 times in the past, all with Royal Caribbean. Then we didn't cruise for the past 3 years due to the pandemic. Our first time back to cruising was a weekend cruise to the Bahamas with Royal Caribbean and we were very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness on the pool deck, poor customer service and the quality of the food. I'm not sure if this is a post-pandemic ...
I have been on 8 cruises and this was EASILY the worst. It was my first Princess cruise and will definitely be my last as well. I don't even know where to begin. The food was bad. Like really bad. I have never had a cruise where the buffet was literally inedible, but this was one. The dining room was a little better, but was hit or miss. If you do go on this cruise choose the Allegro dining room. ...
Think twice about princess cruises, read the reviews on yelp, google, and social media, and good luck getting a refund check from princess cruises after your cruise if you're owed a refund $!!! We pre-paid cruise, excursions, etc before sailing (plus package) for our 7-day alaska cruise from seattle. Our most expensive excursion was canceled by the ship or vendor the day of and no one even ...
