Very disappointed in the suite which cost an arm and a leg. Being right at the front of the ship one presumed there would be a spacious view forward Not a chance. There was a vast bedroom with acres of floor space, a nice king bed, a desk and a disappointing sloping window. Attached was a comfortable sitting room with a narrow balcony. Nice bathroom, good hanging space. Fridge, no coffee making facilities.. Read Less

This cabin is huge. So much space and storage. The front window in the bedroom is amazing. Large balcony with no soot issues. Only drawback the vibration of the anchor.

The cabin was nice as always very large. We actually were not able to get our mini bar set to our liking which is a suite perk and we had the bridge cam camera on our balcony which I wasn't aware of before hand and my wife normally does very good research. Furniture a little worn in living area and we were under the impression the ship was refurbished in Dec 2018...bed very comfy but I am pretty sure nothing was new Read Less

Suite D122 is one of the most forward staterooms on the Royal. We were in this cabin for 49 days so got to know it pretty well. You will pass 30 cabins when you get off the forward elevators and start down the passageway to this room. The suite is very spacious. The walk-in shower was very nice. The balcony is long and narrow and while it is difficult to lounge on the balcony we rearranged the furniture a bit and enjoyed sitting outside when the weather was pleasant and the view entering and leaving port. Being this far forward when the sea gets rough you feel it in this cabin. There is a lot of motion and when the bow is cutting through the waves and loud banging noise. If a rough noisy ride in bad weather is going to bother you this may not be the suite for you. Suite D122 is very noisy when the Royal is entering and leaving port. On days that the ship ties up to a pier, the thrusters are used to move the ship sideways into place and are very noisy and there is a lot of vibration. On the days the ship anchors the dropping and raising of the anchor is very noisy in this suite. If you are thinking of sleeping in on a port day you will be woken early by the process of getting into port. A big surprise and disappointment is that there are no electrical outlets on the nightstands. There is a lamp on each nightstand so power is there, just no outlets. We always bring extension cords but needed one from the steward to get power to both nightstands. This was our first time in a suite and was a paid upgrade from a minisuite. It was very nice for this long cruise but we don't think we would upgrade again to a forward suite because of the noise, extra walking and rough seas. Read Less

Sloping wall in bedroom did. It take away from the space. The bed and pillows were so comfy. We got a bar set up and traded it for soda. The tv in the living room kept breaking. Great bathroom. Huge.

We put the four of us (parents and two teenage sons) in this room rather than selecting two rooms so we could take advantage of the suite perks. I'm not sure I would sacrifice our privacy for the perks. The layout of this room has a small sitting room with a fold out sofa and a very large bedroom. Our younger son slept on a rollaway bed in our room because that's where the extra space was. The two areas are separated by a doorway-sized space with a curtain. The balcony is only on the sitting room side. The bedroom faced the front of the ship and had a large sloping window. The balcony, while larger than the regular balconies in that it fit two lounge chairs sideways vs. two regular chairs, it was not super large. The bathroom is plenty large. There is a separate toilet room with sink connected by a lovable door with the shower room which has a sink with a large-is counter and a separate tub. Closets were plenty big and there were several drawers. We loved using the free laundry included with the sink, but found we did not use the extra food too much (canapés, fruit bowl, etc.) since we were always so full from our other meals. We also could not use the dedicated section of the Concerto dining room for suites since my parents were on the cruise and did not book a suite. In fact, we only used suite dining for two nights and two breakfasts. My biggest complaint is that we tried to go to the suite dining room with my parents, but without our children and were not allowed in since my parents did not have a suite (note: they might not have known if I hadn't asked if the six of us could dine there on a previous night). Priority disembarkation at the two tender ports was not needed as there wasn't any wait either time. It was nice to check-in in a special line. Read Less

Large one-bedroom suite. We were very comfortable with all of the space including a nice balcony protected from the wind. We were worried about too much motion and noise at the front of the ship, but it was not bad. The space was not well-designed and much of it was wasted. The suite should be completely changed around and there would be enough square footage for a table and chairs in a real living room. There was a lot of storage space. Read Less
