By the time we got on board I think it was around 2:30 PM. We dropped off our hand bags in our room, met our steward Gerry who was very friendly and knew our names already! We had an interior midship room on deck 11, which was quiet and clean. It was plenty of space for us, as we are not big people and don't have any problems maneuvering ourselves, though some people may think it's small. We had a queen bed with four very soft down pillows, which sank in really far with any weight put on it. The mattresses seemed a little on the firmer side but were comfortable. There are maybe 15 hangers total, including about 4 kinds for clipping up pants, and there are plenty of shelves and drawers. Just make sure these are clean before you go putting clothes in them, as I found crumbs and unidentifiable things in some of them.... To not create a flood outside the shower, the shower curtain needs to be pushed all the way to the side and folded under itself. There are large shampoo/conditioner (two in one) and body wash dispensers on the shower wall, but there is no hairdryer. Also, some cabins seem to have received a water bottle but if you drink it, you will be charged! We didn't get any but I found it out by accident later while perusing the Royal Princess website. -Stateroom was well appointed. We had an inside cabin and there was plenty of storage. Shower is a bit larger than smaller Princess ships, but the configuration of the toilet, shower and counter/sink was cramped and awkward. We found the bed to be very firm/hard and made a good night's sleep difficult. We were on the Ruby Princess last July and loved their mattresses! Our stateroom was Deck 11 aft and was in a very quiet area. Wayan was our stateroom steward and did a fantastic job! Read Less

Perfect size for one. Lots more storage than I needed. Nice sized shower. TV set to bridge cam was like having a window, without the extra cost.

I did like the open closet because it gave you more room for clothing. It could have had more amenities in bathroom. Coffee maker in room would have been so nice.
