Very Carnival Like
"This was my 9th cruise. I was disappointed in the food, the service and the entertainment. Princess used to be the premiere cruise line. Now it's very mediocre, less elegant and felt very much like a Carnival..."Read More

The price was great and the port was close enough to drive there. The room was large enough and kept clean by the steward at all times. He provided the requested ice the whole trip. The food was good if not super in buffet and servers there were very friendly and attentive. We will probably book this trip again in a few years and will watch prices on Princess cruises ...

Loved our first Princess Cruise! The princess crew are so amazing and made our trip so awesome. My favourite part was the traditional dining. Thanks to Freddie and Jose for being so fun and hard working. Also, our room was spotless every day thanks to Denys. Marcus was an excellent cruise director and we enjoyed the games he directed. The cooking and cocktail making demonstrations in the piazza ...

I want a getaway, after the holidays. By booking last minute, I was forced into anytime dining and hated it from the moment I walked on. The first night was the worst and they kept sending me to different dining rooms. The wait was going to be 90 minutes, so I was forced to the buffet. They did get a set table for me, for the next 6 nights. At 5 pm, but it was just in the anytime space. The ...

Other friends were taking the cruise and it was easy to get there as we all live in Los Angeles was one of the main reasons for taking this cruise. The ship was the best one I have been on and I have taken 4 cruises before this one, Alaska, Mediterranean, Baltic and Caribbean. The entertainment and the theater were exception on this trip, from the singer/dancers who performed 3 different shows to ...

We choose this cruise because we could get on in Los Angeles and because of the duration. We really liked the medallion that we wore on our wrists at all times. Having the ability to text each other for free via the app was a game changer. Loved the comedian, A.J. Jamal, the singer, Jennifer Singer and the other productions that we saw. Food was okay. Dining room staff needs to up their game. ...

i hadn't been to Mexico in many years, so I wanted to check it out. Princess offered me a comp, so why not. Cabo was great but the shore excursion to the "resort" ended up being on a very crowded public beach with dirty couches and no lounge chairs for us. the beach is typical now - the drop in the sand to get into the water was just as bad as many Caribbean beaches these days. I found ...

The ship and class of service is what I expected from Princess. The ship was nice, staff was great and the entertainment was fun. This was a 5 day cruise with one 24 hour stop that is a bit different than any other cruises I have been on. There is plenty to do, the "Princess Patter" was packed with activities throughout the day. Dining room and Horizon Court food was good, plenty of variety. ...

wanted to add this cruise following a 7 day celebrity alaska cruise. We got off celebrity cruise in vancouver and stayed in hotel overnight downtown. hopped on this royal princess for a 3 nite cruise to LA. This ship is really nice. usually don't like big ships but there was no long lines anywhere, lots of room to park ourselves for food, entertainment and drinks. I did notice that the theatre ...

This was a back to back cruise to Alaska taking place in August 2019. We booking this particular ship due to its lower cost. The entertainment was very much lacking on this Royal Princess cruise ship. Nick Jans gave a talk about living in Alaska which was so bad and full of misinformation we walked out in the middle of his presentation. Living in a rural area ourselves it was easy to see through ...
