We chose the back of the ship because usually the balconies are larger. It was larger than others onboard that particular ship, but not at all impressive. Our deck (and me while trying to enjoy the sun) kept getting covered with soot - presumably from the engine. Where else would soot come from in the middle of the ocean? Read Less

Very nice larger sized balcony cabin. It has a two seat sofa and a large flat screen tv across from the bed. The bathroom is small but fine, the shower was adequately sized. The balcony is not very deep, but none of them are unless you book the rooms on the back of the ship and those ones do not have much privacy. Balcony is covered. We were traveling with family in the next room so had the balcony divider open, it opens all the way without blocking the space so it was nice to have a much longer balcony to hang out on. Read Less

Our cabin (B618) was on the Baja Deck. It was a Deluxe Balcony cabin. We found it very comfortable and roomier than a Balcony Cabin. The bed was very comfortable. The mattress was soft, but not too soft, with plenty of pillows. The love seat comfortably sat both of us, and we spent several late nights on the love seat talking about our day, and what we would do the next. The TV was large (seemed about 42” or more). It was wall mounted in front of the bed and easily viewed. The bathroom was adequate. In a Balcony Cabin, you do not expect too much room, but I was pleased with the size and shape of the shower. It did not feel cramped and gave us enough room to turn about while washing. Putting the key card in the slot to turn on the lights took a bit of effort to remember, but after 2 or three misses, we did it without much thought as we entered the room. One good side effect…with the key card in the slot, you do not misplace it. 2 negatives about the cabin: 1) The closet and storage space is very limited. The shelves are small and narrow, leaving one wondering where to put some clothes. 2) The balcony is narrow. It is about 2 feet narrower than those on other ships, such as the Grand Class. Only 2 chairs and a small (18” diameter) table fit. It is, though, still a nice place to sit and enjoy the sea breeze. Read Less

Deluxe Balcony, if you are a very small person. Only 18inchs between the foot of the bed and the wall. Reminded me of a prison cell,or what I've seen on TV. Highway robbery for the price to space ratio.

Just fine for a ten-day, but we prefer a mini-suite when available. Had a loveseat, refrigerator, and stand-up shower. No complaints.
