Very clean and adequate space, with plenty of hanging room. Standard bathroom worked well. Very comfortable bed. The door to the balcony needed a bit of force to open sometimes and might be beyond more elderly people. Soundproofing still amazes me. The only noise you can really hear from elsewhere is the occasional cabin door. Didn't hear any noise from either side or above. The position of the cabin is good - about halfway between the front of the ship and the forward lifts, meaning not too people come past early or late, but it's not too far to walk from/to. It did seem to be at the exact point of the hull at which the waves broke directly below, making even calm seas sound quite noisy, but we quite like that particular sound, once we realised it wasn't the sound of wind and rain! The aircon/temperature control was on all the time we were in the cabin and was completely silent. I'd be happy to book a cabin in this position again. Read Less

Royal Disappointment! : Cabin R705
Cabins are a little smaller. The balconies are a real disappointment as they are at least a foot or more narrower than other Princess boats! Plus side are showers as they are a bit larger.

The stateroom room and balcony are small but for our needs, it was fine. Bathroom is a bit larger, the closet is larger, and the cabinets are less and smaller. Also note that on other ships, the main hallway carpet on the port side is normally a different color than on the starboard side to help passengers know what side of the ship their room is located. Not the case on Royal Princess. You have to look at the sign near the elevator to see if you are on the even room number side or the odd number side. So it may take a little time to get use to finding what side of the ship your room is when you get off the elevator. Read Less
