Our cabin was at the front of the ship on the starboard side. It might have been a little choppier than mid or aft, but not that bad. I found there was plenty of room in the cabin - enough for two people anyway. It was well layed-out, with lots of closet space and shelving for clothes. The bathroom was a good size and I loved that there was a seat in the shower. Regarding soundproofing, the cabins were pretty good. Unless the people in the cabin beside you played the tv loudly, you couldn't really hear your neighbours. Balcony was fine, however, I've heard it's smaller than some other cruiseships. Read Less

Room was okay, about what we expected. Bed was very comfortable. Flat screen TV was nice but nothing to watch unless you like cricket. Bathroom was okay. Balcony was smallest of any we have had.We were forward on the Emerald deck.

A standard balcony cabin was much smaller than in the past and there were many changes that were not pleasant. The bath linens were worse than a budget rate hotel. I use better towels when I wash my dogs – seriously. And you would think they would get a clue from the sister line, Carnival, and provide comfortable beds for the passengers, but no, same old rock hard mattresses. The acoustics were substandard as well. We had continuous noise in our original cabin M501. It was so bad you could hear the football games from the big screen on deck even with the balcony door closed. Finally on the second leg of the trip we were moved to cabin B238, which was far better but we could still hear the TV in the next cabin and anytime a door opened or closed you could hear that as well. Kudos to Monica with the Hotel staff for staying on top of this. Read Less

So noisy we had to continually escalate to be moved - do not book this cabin unless you sleep like the dead.

Very small cabin and tiny balcony. The shower stall was slightly larger than other Princess ships of the same cabin category. Thin walls, can hear conversations in adjacent cabins.
