NOT THAT IMPRESSED

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Whilst I saw some of the most amazing ports in the world. I was not so impressed with the cruise and its staff. Even thought our party of four all had MY TIME DINING, this was treated with complication for the staff, they had difficulty every night trying to find us table. And even once seated and orders takes we were moved again, only to be returned to the original table. Dinner was very ...

Not What We Paid For!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Day one was a red flag. The ship was being sanitized from the prior sailing. We get it. The Captain came on the intercom a number of times and harshly scolded the passengers. There should have been advertised activities for all to do. Most people just sat and even laid in the common areas for hours. The Windjammer cafeteria was a disaster. Below par food. Lines and not enough tables to ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

My wife and I had cabin 1062. Right next to suites in the middle of the 10 deck. We had carts rolling around our ceiling at various times day and night. Except for a few meals, the food was average at best. The staff was often unprepared and/or poorly trained. We had a virus that ran through the ship. The medical staff was wonderful. The ship staff closed deck games for hours on days at sea. The ...

Rotted strawberries and norovirus

Just returned home from Italy and Greece cruise on Jewel of the Seas Royal Caribbean. The crew was totally awesome but the ship and excursions left a lot to be desired. Upon arriving into our stateroom, a plate of strawberries had been left in the refrigerator from the previous cruise. The refrigerator didn't work and the strawberries had literally an inch of furry mold growing on them. We tried ...

Major Disappointment

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Independence of the Seas

User Avatar

For my wife and I this was our very first cruise. We went to the Norwegian Fjords aboard Independence of the Seas. We booked this cruise as we were told that it was a great trip and the Independence had, according to the Royal Caribbean brochure "been given a makeover from stern to bow". This is not true, parts of the ship may have been changed, BUT our room certainly had not seen any makeover. I ...

We chose this cruise last September, 2017, to fit in with our kids school holidays and to celebrate our 55th Wedding Anniversary we took all l7 of our family for a memorable trip instead of a party. We had nothing but agravation from beginning to end. Firstly we used Cruise Kings, who were the worst company to deal with, incompetence, useless, and difficult from the very beginning, they did not ...

Having sailed with RCCL many times I expected a great cruise on a grrat ship. Sailed out of Copenhagen. The Seranade of the Seas is in dire need of extensuve updating and repairs. Windows in the Safari Club lounge haf 1" of water between the panes. It had formed into algae. Water leaking in windows in the Windjammer. Casino tobacco smoke was not ventilated properly spilling in to public areas. ...

Set off from Barcelona for med cruise on the Symohony of the Seas August 2018 We took this cruise as a family of four to try a new experience, we initially started by having a great three days firstly in Barcelona which was fantastic. So, we later join the cruise and the impact of the cruise liner is a sight to behold, really fantastic. We were excited to explore the boat and enjoy our ...

Over run with teenagers Butlins on the sea

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Independence of the Seas

User Avatar

after being on allure and anthem for previous cruises, independance was a true downgrade. We were so excited to experience Indy but didn’t realise what a difference the class of ship would mean. The teenagers took over hot tubs, drunk and swearing, groups loitering by stairwells, charging phones in hallways and being loud and intimidating. 6-8 yr old kids club was put in with 9-11 year ...
