Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

On Saturday 14th October 2017 we were faced with over 8 hour delay to get on the ship because of fog. During that time we waited in the terminal and had to purchase our own refreshments. After a 4 hours we were finally given a packed lunch of a sandwich a bottle of water and fruit. This was a bit hit and miss as there were many who did not receive anything. Also, the staff at the terminal were ...

This cruise was selected because it advertised 4 Greek Island destinations which were on my bucket list. My husband and I saved for a year then booked the 7 day Greek Island Cruise last year to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary this October 2017. My lifelong dream was to visit the Greek Islands yet upon arrival to the Port in Venice our trip began with a delay due to fog then we were told the ...

I'm currently sailing on the Rhapsody of the Seas. I've cruised regularly with Holland America, Princess, and other members of the Carnival family of cruise lines but this is my first time on RCL. It's moments of adversity that test a corporation's mettle, and RCL's handling of our departure from Venice was not its finest hour. The heavy fog that closed the harbor was beyond RCL's control ...

Chose cruise for destinations visited Good - food, dining room staff, shows Poor - ship very tired looking needs upgrading Terrible - extremely noisy around pool area -bands playing at mega decibels, activities included belly flop completion !!! Everyone who used a microphone seemed to want to shout into it Disputing and unforgivable - after a delay into venice due to fog which ...

OUTRAGEOUS TAXES IMPOSED

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

I have never been so angry and frustrated in a cruise like this last time. They charged us up to 21% of taxes plus service charges in all our purchases and beverage packages, photo and spa services arguing that our ITINERARY never touched international waters, so we were only cruising in the European Union, so that was the reason they charged us this outrageous taxes. For example. I bought a ...

Have just come back from this cruise and if you do not want to spend 14 nights without any sleep make sure you are not in room 9601or 9603. We spent every night being woken up at 1 and 3 in the morning by loud bangs and then the sound of gushing water. To be told that the main pipe ran through the room and they were emptying the Jacuzzi. On a positive note the main dinning room staff and room ...

First Time With Royal Caribbean That I’m Not Happy

I love to cruise and was extremely disappointed with this one. Gluten Free section in Windjammer was definitely not gluten free. Cleanliness in the Windjammer was not up to par. The stairs were filthy. On quite a few occassions there were no cups in the morning for coffee and no butter or peanut butter. When I asked to have peanut butter or butter one morning I was handed, from a cabinet, 2 ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

I would STRONGLY advise you to avoid Jewel of the Seas if you travel with kids, not sure if this is true across all RC cruise ships. Babies/toddlers have to be potty trained to use the pools, while in the US they can get in the public pools with swim diapers. Pool water is super cold. To get towels, you will have to walk to the front side of the ship from the kids pool in the back of the ship, on ...

I'm not intrested in excursions at all. I wanna have fun and be amused onboard, but I didn't. Must of the activities in the Cruise compass ended up in som sort of selling. Tragic. Ok, the ship is big, but have to be updated. The cabins seems too be furnished in the late 80's. The bathroom felt like a plastic box. It's not very easy too take you from point A til B, up there, down there, ...

Constantly clock watching and panicking about missing the ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

We chose this cruise as we wanted to tour the Greek Islands. Although we visited the places we wanted to go, we were there for such a short time at each stop, we barely had chance to see anything and at Santorini could not even eat. The ship is tiny with poor facilities. Long queues at bars, inability to get a sun bed and a seat in the restaurant. Total lack of information and some crew members ...
