We were both looking forward to this cruise as we had never been to the Baltic countries but our experience on board the ship and subsequent dealings with Royal Caribbean " Executive Office" has left us very negative about the attitude of RC to customer issues. Our concerns began when it took 4 weeks for RC to answer a question about transport from the ship at the end of the cruise to the airport. In the end we got two conflicting answers from the UK office and the USA office and booked transfers ourselves. Part of our deal was 40% discount off bottles of wine priced up to $100 at all bars and restaurants onboard. This was not a drinks package its was part of the Ultimate dining package. But no one onboard knew about it !!. Twice on day one we were refused the discount and had to visit guest relations to complain and receive our discount .This was done and we were reassured all bars and restaurants were informed about the deal and we would have no further issues. But it happened again on day 2 and once again Guest Services apologised applied the discount and informed us the Food and Beverage Director would be in touch. Again on the evening of day 2 we were refused the discount and again Guest Services applied the discount and promised that the F&B Director would make contact - but he never did . It wasn't just the fact that the deal was denied us It was the manner in which it was done each time we were made to feel like we were lying. On day 4 we went to the main restaurant Reflections where first the waiter refused the deal but then the manager refused the deal . He marched off to guest services and returned with a business card and took delight in front of other guests to direct us to Guest Services .We went but it turned out he had told them we had said we were on a drinks package which we weren't .So once again Guest Services applied the discount. But before we did that we had ordered a special meal Lobster and fillet steak - it arrived burnt to a crisp - couldn't get the lobster off the shell it was so burnt .I called over the F&B beverage manager and all he could say was that he wasn't the chef !!. We can't prove the food was destroyed on purpose after the wine incident but it was an uncanny coincidence -.we walked out without eating . Anyway we were refused the discount deal on 8 occasions . In addition we had a pre- booked shore excursion to Tallin cancelled with 36 hours notice. We had pre booked and paid for a wine tasting but on arrival at the tasting they had no record of our booking and couldn't believe what we paid - other guests had paid $10 we paid £17. Our cabin was on the 10th floor directly underneath the Windjammer restaurant and every morning at 6am the food trolleys would screech across the floors ( our ceiling) and wouldn't stop until 10pm every single day . We asked ( at our expense ) to upgrade but there wasn't another cabin. So we put up with the noise . But the final humiliation was to be saved for the final evening. After finally having a trouble free day and evening and a lovely meal at Chops Grille we decided to go to Vintages bar to have a last evening few drinks followed by last evening shopping. But to our horror when ordering our drinks we were informed our account was blocked and that we had to go to guest services . Well this was our last evening! we had used our Amex linked to the account on the ship as instructed to online and also presented it at embarkation so we couldnt understand why on the last evening it was blocked. Anyway after standing in an enormous queue of people checking and settling their final bills . We were told that the limit on our Amex card had been exceeded . And that we had a problem . Explaining that this was impossible but not knowing what to do we retired to our cabin completely distraught . Worrying that we may not be allowed off the ship. I returned to guest relations and waited patiently in another long queue ( it was now well after 11pm). I explained to a really nice girl the issue she explained that we had gone over the ship onboard limit by $169 dollars.I explained that wasn't possible I had several thousand dollars credit on my card. Anyway I agreed to pay the $169 to unblock the account - which I duly did using my Amex !! Which magically was accepted. Anyway night ruined plus all the other issues -cruise ruined.Amex bill checked on return to the UK and only one transaction on statement for full amount so there was no issue !! We got back to the UK and emailed our experiences to RC and waited and waited ( RC promises 72hr turn around) but after two weeks I decided to write to the UK Managing Director. Three days later I received a phone call on a Friday evening at 7pm from their Executive Office representative phoning on behalf of the UK MD. Acknowledging all the issues but as compensation offered a discount off a future cruise. So in other words they accepted all the issues and that our cruise had been ruined but wanted us to buy another cruise to receive compensation - unbelievable. I declined and suggested the offer should be unconditional. So I waited and waited for the offer in writing but it didn't come. So after a further two weeks I wrote to the UK managing Director again giving him the chance to make good all the issues . One month later on the 19th Sept Tiffany emailed me to once again apologise but repeat that compensation was conditional on the purchase of a future cruise I have to say in 38 years of overseas holidays this is the single worst experience not only with the issues onboard the Serenade of the Seas but the failure of the people at the very top of the organisation to take seriously a genuine customer complaint. I nor any of my family and friends would travel with Royal Caribbean again. I hope this rather long review helps others make decisions with whom they travel with in future. Read Less

First, the on-line service team instructed me ( a few days before sail) to check in at a specific time (5 hours before departure) which is never mentioned from the beginning; when I inquire about this arrangement, they answered this is just "every other cruise line does". This is very inconsiderate as not every passenger living in the set-off port or nearby, this kind of arrangement should be informed at the time of purchase so that I can arrange transport well before. They also mentioned passengers can check in at their convenience up to 1.5 hours before departure if purchasing suites stateroom. If this is not discrimination, what should it be called? Second, I dropped my 9 year-old kid at playzone at 12/F of the ship; he actually left a few minutes before my arrival when I went back to pick him up. When I asked the staff there, she didn't know the whereabouts of him and didn't recognise him. It is alright she could not remember all the names of the kid and I never expect her to do so. However, when I asked her to check the sign in book or let me see, she didn't even take a glance of that and told me the sign in book being confidential. I can't appreciate the confidentiality of this book at all because it was just laid open on the counter to let every body signing in. This staff is very arrogant and unhelpful. Third, on the last day morning before leaving the ship, I received a notice of charging US$25 for pool towel because I once borrowed it on the first/second day of the trip. This charges is due to non-returning of the towel; however, I did return it and clearly told the poolside staff the number of my stateroom but he didn't pay attention and just dropped the towel into bag. The staff at the centrum handling my situation on the last day morning told that we should swipe the card upon returning. If they think this towel so "valuable", why didn't they send reminder to me earlier and instead on the last morning? More, this kind of towels are freely used in sauna room and no registration needed, is this far from consistency? The only conclusion I can draw is high rate of poolside towel usage coins higher rate of trapping the swimmers. When you are introverted/quiet/hurry-to-leave passengers, you fall into this trap and pay for this US$25 towel. What a "good" money sucker? Other minor stuff such as poor wifi service in contrast to "luxury" charges (~US90 for single device for 7days trip); I find my wifi egg (covering whole europe) still get reasonable connection even off shore or in the middle of the sea and it just cost US$50 for three devices for 8days. High shore excursion prices are expected but no mandarin speaking tour guides provided. The only thing I like is the reflection dining room where I can enjoy good services and food. I board the ship and ready to spend because of good service and hate those childish trick to squeeze my money. Read Less

St. Petersburg has been on our bucket list for years, and now we got the opportunity to see the great city. It was really a fantastic experience. Booked a 2 days tour with Alla Tours, and had the most knowledgeable guide in Alexander. He really made our tour perfect. I'm more than happy to recommend this tour operator to furture cruise guests. And when the departure port is 1 hour by plane from home, it was a bonus. The ship is ok, even though she's "getting old". Staff is serviceminded and helpful. We've never been on a cruise in the vacation-season, and found it really noisy in Windjammer. Lots of kids (I wonder what was exiting for them with this itinarary..) and teens, talking very load. We even had to ask them to talk with lower voices. Check in and check out went really smooth. All-and-all it was a cruise and a ship as expected. Read Less

The Baltic Sea is a wonderful cruising area -- so many fascinating ports. We stayed in Stockholm, Sweden for a few days both at the beginning and the end of the cruise. Embarkation was smooth and fast. In Helsinki, we took the "Free Time at Three Sites" excursion, which was pretty bare bones. It was exactly what it claimed to be -- bus transportation to three different locations -- no further information provided. We took a private tour in St. Petersburg and just walked around Tallinn and Riga on our own. Royal Caribbean provided a shuttle bus between the port and Riga. The shuttle bus was free, which was a surprise. The ship itself was clean and in great shape; the crew was courteous and, for the most part, delivered exemplary service. Our cabin was always kept clean -- I don't know how our steward did it. The Windjammer buffet was crowded at times, so we preferred eating our dinner in the main dining room. When we did eat at the buffet, we appreciated that they had well-prepared Indian food. In the evenings, we didn't attend any of the performances in the Tropical Theater. Instead, we enjoyed the music trivia quizzes or the refreshing Baltic breeze. Read Less

My family and I recently travelled on the Seranade of the seas a mid size crusie ship which can hold 2500 guests over 13 floors.. The ship had something for everyone we all needed a vacation and this experience did not disappoint. It was our first cruise experience and we anticipate experiencing many more. From the moment we stepped on the ship to the point of return the staff looked after all our needs and went beyond our expectations. The ship catered for all our needs my youngest son aged 12 was occupied throughout with different sports, clubs and entertainment opportunities. What an excellent variety of restaurants, the food and wine was simply top class, entertainment facilities / shows were great fun. The excursions were fun and safe and the guides were very informative. We would definitively travel with this company and ship again. Do not hesitate if you get the opportunity to travel on this ship. Read Less

we choose this trip for its interesting itinerary specially St Petersburg Russia. The main dinner restaurant was really very good and the cabin we selected was excellent (Junior Suite) The check in went very smooth and we were pleased with the service on board. The Port and shore excursions were very good, Only problem was the large number of people from different tours in St. Petersburg, Russia. It was very challenging to follow to tour guide. The entertainment at the cruise could have been a little better. The movies selected were not so great. Overall we are very pleased with this trip. I would recommend it specially for the itinerary and the range of interest. My children are 17 and 24 year old and they were very interested in the shore excursions and the interesting places we could visit. Everybody was happy with the choice of food in the different restaurants. Read Less

There were four of my family members who took this cruise. We were enticed by the ports. The makeup of the passengers included passengers from over 50 countries making for an international experience. We chose dining at "My Time" . Our waiters were friendly and timely. The daily menu in the main dining room changed daily with a selection of popular food items being offered daily. The crew were friendly and helpful. The nightly entertainment in the theater was some of the best that I have encountered throughout my cruising experience. The cruise director, Topi, was an outstanding. . Other entertainment on the ship such as the piano bar and lounge shows were of high quality. We chose do do shore excursions offered by the ship and were very pleased. The only negative experience was going through passport control in St. Petersburg as it took 90 minutes standing in line to get through. Read Less

First cruise. We have traveled all over the world but never by ship. This is a great way to see the Baltic countries. Riga and Tallin were especially surprising, beautiful cities. Loved the history of St Petersburg. Only 5 hours in Helsinki but enough to experience it with a self guided walking tour. The food onboard was excellent. We ate in Windjammer and Reflections(included in the price) and very happy with it. No need to pay extra for specialty restaurants. We had a room with a balcony and I would do this again. Large sitting area. Room service was excellent. Lots to do on the ship, never bored. Slept well. We did not use their shore excursions. We used Alla Tours in ST. Petersburg,,,outstanding tour and guide. My only complaint with RC is their website is terrible. You are continually prevented from logging in with 'record lock' errors or 'service unavailable'. Do not wait until the last minute to do things like printing your cruise documentation! Read Less

I would highly recommend a Royal Caribbean Baltic cruise. We choose this cruise for its itinerary - Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga & esp St Petersburg & it was excellent! If timing permits, I would suggest the 12+ night Baltic cruise which might be a bit more relaxing than having to do excursions every day for 5 days straight to see all the ports of call. Shore excursions: We were fortunate to have found Alla Tours for our day trips to St Petersburg & Riga. Alla Tours was excellent! - great tour guides, small tour groups & great value for money. We had the flexibility to see so many more things than a larger bus sized group would enjoy. Alla Tours took care of all the necessary documentation for St Petersburg. Visa not required. We also did the Royal Caribbean excursion to Tallinn, but suggest that you would be better off walking into the lovely old town on your own. Since we were travelling with our adult daughter, we were in a suite, Rm 1536 on the Serenade of the Seas. The room was comfortable & well laid out, with a queen-sized bed & a fold out couch. We appreciated the curtain which could be pulled out to separate the bed from the living area. While the room had a balcony, it was not often warm enough to use while we were sailing. Excellent room attendant. Great concierge service which comes with a suite. The ship itself was spotless & nicely decorated. Perhaps could have had some more contemporary updates, but it was nice. The food was pretty good with lots of choice & good service in the main dining room. I would recommend the My time dining feature. We also purchased 3 nights at the specialty restaurants & unfortunately found this to be a bit disappointing. Service at the Chops Grill & Giovanni's was quite slow on the nights we were there. Also some of their menu items still had extra charges on top of what we thought we'd purchased. Izumi, the sushi restaurant was great. Entertainment: The "guest" entertainers were excellent - magician, juggler, dancers etc . The ship's dancers & singers were average. I guess their shows were geared towards an older crowd, (ourselves included) but there was too much attention to music of the 70's. 60’s , old Broadway tunes etc etc. Updates required! We had a wonderful time! Read Less

We chose this cruise based on previous cruises with RCL and they have been really great. Expectations were high for this one , however given this was half term week the ship badly lets itself down on the staff to customer ratio. This is typified in the bar areas in trying to get a drink on a pre paid drinks package, on previous tours waiting staff were consciously trying to make sure people were not waiting/sitting around without getting service. The windjammer buffet restaurant also was seriously lacking in a) adequate seating for guests and more worryingly b) the lack of staff to clear off tables which early in this cruise on one lunchtime, where literally piled high with plates etc, giving guests no where to dine. The standard of food being served in the main restaurants is very bland to say the least, coupled with the extension of charges to "fine dining" options. We have no problem in paying a cover charge to Chopps Grille or Giovannis , but Johnny Rockets $6.95/head and Ben & Jerrys/cupcakes, are hardly fine dining, so should be inclusive. We have yet to meet our state room attendant and this is the last night of our cruise, on previous cruises they were very attentive and welcomed you on your arrival. We have no doubt that all crew work extremely hard, but as guests we feel this lack of visible guest to crew ratio is letting the RCL name down significantly. We have cruised on 5 previous occasions with rcl and found all to be of a really high standard, but given the fact in our opinion these high standards have now slipped considerably we would have to seriously think about using RCL in the future. I usually feel the product delivered by RCI to be consistent and usually above average.I found one member of staff on this ship who actually smiled and engaged with me. Most members of staff, especially the bar staff, seemed miserable and lacking in any desire to serve. Usually I look forward to dinner in the main dining room but our waitress was so grumpy I felt like I was an inconvenience to her. I appreciate this ship is one of the older vessels and that it does not make financial sense to invest money in it now but there were obvious signs (literally the metropolis theatre sign was missing two letters) that this ship needed some attention. Bad smells, poor air conditioning in our room, wardrobe door hanging off. I am sure you are aware that some of the older ships do not get the investment that the newer ones do and I also see that that is reflected in the price but it felt at times that the basics were missing. I had such a wonderful time on the independence last october and that is also one of the older vessels so I know that it can be achieved. The good time I had on that ship was largely down to the wonderful staff we had ( CD Jamie fentiman and AM katy McCullagh were exceptional) I felt the CD on the navigator cuddy cuddleson and his activities manager mark? were not up to the standard I have experienced before such as the aforementioned jamie fentiman and also joff eaton who is always exceptional. I also had a CD called Mercedes a few years ago and she was wonderful as well. I really could go on and on about all the things on the Navigator that I feel are substandard but I really do not have the time, I love RCI and will continue to cruise with them but I feel I will avoid the older ships as I don't think the effort is put in there. Our daughter was taking a holiday with our grandson, who my wife normally looks after in school term. This opened a 'window of opportunity' for my wife and I to take a break, so we looked for a relatively inexpensive cruise that ran at the same time as our daughter's holiday. Cruising from Southampton wouldn't be our preferred choice but we thought we'd try it anyway. Being RC, the ship would have a flowrider, climbing wall, ice skating, etc., which I like. We suspected the ship would have a few children on board as it was a school holiday, and were proved right. Lifts were packed, sunbeds filled quickly, seats in the Windjammer filled quickly, long queues for the flowrider, screaming babies in push chairs the pub, kids playing in the lifts pressing all the buttons and playing on staircases. Didn't bother with ice skating knowing the rink would be jam packed with toddlers. Adults who wanted peace and quiet fled to the 'Solarium' area which then became packed; all the sunbeds snatched up. My advice to those 'grown ups' who want a quiet cruise in school holidays is to avoid cruises like this. The most peaceful areas on the ship were the jogging track at 6.00 a.m. and the gym, which very few people visited. I wonder why. The entertainment manager was hell bent on getting friendly with the children to make sure they pester their parents to cruise again. Personally we can't understand why parents would take children on a cruise. Our kids preferred the outdoors, beaches, lakes and camping, and seeing new places. Maybe the food and beverage packages are the main attraction. Read Less

There's plenty for the kiddies to do and at the same time, the adults can just relax. The entertainment this year was ok, not as good as when we were on the Navigator last year but still ok. I felt as though we spent a long time on the ship this time, the stops in Spain & Portugal weren't really long enough. Our stateroom was a nice size, perfect for the 2 of us and we had a window to see out onto the Promenade. The main dining room was just amazing food and service wise, everything was presented well and you didn't need to ask for anything as the waiters were always one step ahead. I would definitely travel on the Navigator of the Seas again, she's a beautiful ship with plenty to do on board for everyone. Read Less

Chose cruise to have a family holiday, Food was good, activities were plentiful, but this ship needs a good makeover. Smoking in the casino should be stopped, on deck four you have to take the elevator to deck five, walk through the Royal Promenade, and take the elevator again down to deck four just to move from front to back, without having to go through the stench of smoke. I don't think that any employee should have to work in a smoke filled environment. In the Windjammer a lot of the seats are threadbare, the ceiling looks as though it caved in at some point, and was replaced, badly. In the cabin that I shared with my wife, there were stains on the carpet, an adjoining door had a loose seal, and the seating area was covered in dust and bits of fluff the whole time. If I had to cruise again I would not choose to be on Navigator of the Seas. l Read Less

The Activeties on board were excellent surfing, climbing wall were great and the staff running them were great very helpful with my 11 year old girl she wished she had more time to experiace them. This was our first important Cruise, this is what we thought anyway, and it did not fulfill our expectations. Firstly it was for us to much time of navigation and little time to explore the port cities. In other words, the Shore Excursions were two short, besides that the ones we made in Stockholm, Tallin and Saint Petersburg left very much to be desired. Mainly they were too short and the Tour Guides showed poor qualification and interest. Other than that, we found the Serenade of the Sea is very comfortable, well decorated and clean. The cabin has a good size and the service was good. In general the entire service onboard was excellent. Dining was fo us more than enough and well cooked. As previously mentioned on this survey the Ports and Shore excursions were for us insufficient. We chose this cruise because of the timing and the ports of call. I feel like Royal Caribbean was trying to nickel and dime us to death. You had to pay for a bottle of water! On other cruise lines that I've been on recently (Viking and Oceania) they went out of their way to offer you complimentary water bottles as you exited the ship on excursions. Other cost cutting items, no shampoo or conditioner in the shower, in the Windjammer when you got your silverware there weren't any spoons, you had to go get a spoon at a different location. Courtesy shuttles into town you have to pay for (complimentary on Oceania). The ship was in need of some maintenance and repair. I saw areas of rust on the ship. The mirror in my bathroom had some damage on the edges. I noted the smell of sewage while walking down some of the hallways. Read Less

Just returning to Southampton from a 12 day cruise to Spain, Portugal and Canary Islands. We have taken at least one cruise a year for 25+ years. First let me tell you about the cabin. We were in the aft section on the tail with a large balcony. We used the balcony little because of the weather. It was large and nice when we could use it. The cabins are dated, desperately need new furnishings, carpeting and curtains. We understand that the last remodel focused on the public areas and not the cabins. It is obvious. This is an old ship with small cabins so know that when you buy the cruise. The crew kept the cabin clean and the cabin service was excellent. The common areas of the ship are beautiful, bright and fun. The buffet area is large but rarely all open at once. The Avenue on the 5th floor is fun and very updated. All in all the common areas are a real plus. The food. Hmmm. The ship was 75% UK residents so they catered to the population. We would rate the food as average to below average. Very bland and not up to other cruise standards. Out of 12 days the most outstanding food was in the soup area. Other than that do not plan on impressive food. Our dinner service was always excellent and we were very happy with our servers. The staff gets an "A" and the food a C-. The cruise destination staff (shore excursion staff) is about like the food. We did encounter a couple of really helpful and pleasant staff in this area but generally the staff was stressed, disorganized and not pleasant. Clearly the management of this area needs an overhaul. Much like the casino staff that never, on any occasion, smiled or seemed at all happy with life. Lordy the casino is such an unhappy bunch of people. By the way, out of 30 some cruises this casino has to be the worst of any ship when it comes to payouts. We never saw or heard of anyone winning anything in the casino. Walk on through it. The destinations were all fun and nice places to visit. We would go back to most of them in a moment. The ship stopped in Spain, Portugal and 4 of the Canary Islands. We took the camel ride and the basket run down the street at two locations. Both were fun and we would do it again. Be aware that in at least two of the islands it is virtually all volcanic. If we saw or heard about one more volcano we would have screamed. The trips to the top are harrowing and not for the faint-at-heart. No guard rails and very narrow roads. Be prepared if you fear heights. The Cruise Director. Very little presence and he spoke so fast that we never understood anything he said anyhow. Enough said. The entertainment. I will try and be kind. Way below normal. The singers and dancers were high school level. The stage and sets were middle school at best. The band...o' my. The drummer was just unbearable with no sense of his importance. We really tried to like it but left every performance after a few minutes. Grease was the big show and if your high school performs it go to that one. Again, just way below normal for any ship entertainment. So there you have it. No regrets really. Like all cruises you enjoy what you like and pass by what you don't. Read Less

I am not a seasoned cruiser by any means but have sailed enough to understand a good ship, good value for money and just how enjoyable cruising can be. The Navigator is a ship that is showing its age, it has been on the sea since 2002 and the facilities are dated. The dining room service is awful, passengers needing hospital treatment after eating in the main restaurant is the worst we heard but by the end of the cruise the windjammer at night was a busy place as more and more people stopped attending the main dining room to eat due to the really poor quality of the food. Docking was unorganised at every port with long delays getting on and off board and the final departure at Southampton was farcical. All normal exits from the ship were sealed off and you were not allowed to use them, everyone was herded into the dining room and made to make a big loop right around level four, as we had chosen to take our own bags off, the environment was a health and safety hazard, everyone was trying to negotiate their luggage around chairs and tables and a lot of tempers became flared. My recommendation is avoid the Navigator of the seas at all costs if you can, I know there are a lot of people from this cruise who will boycott the ship going forward. Poor food, poor service, jumped up staff and just an all round poor experience Read Less

3rd time on the Nav. always had a very good time. This time it was poor. Food standard in the main dining room was well below previous visits.Used the 8.30pm dinner slot. Took 20/25 mins to get a glass of wine( wine waiters removed) starter received 9.05pm. main at 9.40pm, sweet at 1005pm on average each night.Waiters inexperienced. Sent main course back on 3 nights as cold/ uncooked. Ate in the Windjammer on 3 nights. Had a drinks package but service mostly very slow especially at peak times. not enough staff. Best bar on deck 14 turned over to the Diamond club members every night from 5pm to 8.30pm. No pre-dinner cocktails for the underclasses!. 5-6 quizzes every day, over done and old hat. Only two good shows, Beatles group and Queen tribute. Time of some port visits well short and poor itinerary timings. (Valencia had a Marathon on visit day,1 hr minimum to get into the city.!! Informed of this only on the night before docking.!! Lots of people had booked trips, so had to go or loose payments. Cabins ok but tired , hard bed. Cabin staff good but over worked. Very obvious reduction in staff ( except officers) all looked miserable and unhappy. Diamond club members catered for to the detriment of all other guests. Overrated extra high cost ,( not fine dining) venues with staff touting for custom early morning to late at night. Very annoying along with the Spa brigade.!! The overall experience is that Royal C. is using its guests as a cash cow with reduced staff and greatly reduced standards. Never Again. Read Less

Went on navigator for birthday celebration after going on other ships thought this would be good . Room was OK dining was not good the self service was always full and table service dining was hit and miss little changed on the menu daily it became a joke to ask what was tonight's fish to be told salmon or swordfish . Drinks are well overpriced 5Star prices for a 2 star experience. At the ports get a taxi cheaper than the transfer buses and use tourist information and local trains and buses to get round .entertainment was at best not well thought out to being second rate the only high point was the Ice Show very good . The restaurant service was great to shocking . The ship had daily sales that were either crap they could not sell or way overpriced they were offering 75% off luxury watches but a look on the Internet showed that they were well overpriced on retail prices don't buy things on board. Internet is overpriced. Read Less

Ship was renovated like a miniature version of Oasis/Allure. TV is limited with repeating shows shown in multiple languages. The safe feels like an oven when you pop open due to the equipment below such as TV and refrigerator. Given a choice between show versus dinner, we choose dinner since Windjammer close at 9pm. In the past it stayed open longer. During sea days, played Ping Pong. RC figured out a perfect spot to place the Ping Pong table. Usually it’s in the worst place possible where you’re constantly battling upmost environment. Lack of ship activities but everywhere you go, you’ll see RC selling merchandise from A to Z. After awhile, the constant "sell" gets old. Did they forget we are on vacation and we don’t want to be bother? Cuts backs are obvious in food and entertainment. Whether you are in the Windjammer and/or Dining Room, every day was pretty much the same thing with a slight variation. No Lobster on Formal night. Deserts were in tin pans. Only memorable night was the Chocolate fountain. I skipped over the main course and jump into the chocolate fountain. Entertainment show was boring. Rather to see the crew talent shows than the paid entertainers. Luggage arrived in a timely manner outside the cabinet (not inside). Upon disembarkation, luggage was scattered, not good when you're rushing to the airport. Don’t forget to return your swim towel or you’ll get charge $25. We used to sail often on RCC, but with the obvious cutback in food, entertainment and everything else, we’ll need to revisit other ships. The price continues to rise and the quality goes down.
