Graduation Cruise - Helpful Tips

Our family of 7 + 2 (grandparents), Embarked from our home town Limassol, Cyprus for our last full family trip as 4 of my children are graduates this year. The embarkation process was swift and easy. Then to the customer service desk to connect my visa card to the sea pass cards. Tip 1: Use a revolute type card to exchange Euro to USD to save bank and ship charges. Tip 2: virtual cards are not ...

Not the standard we expected from Royal Caribbean

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

Overall we were very disappointed with the service in the main restaurant. The issues included food cold and needed to be returned, possible food poisoning from coq au Vin, drink service very slow with reason stated it was hard to find wine glasses! Overall this ship appeared to us to be a training ship. Lots of corners being cut, lack of management of the staff to help guide them. The ...

We were really looking forward to cruising again post covid. The itinery suited us perfectly as we wanted to spend a few days in Italy prior to boarding. We have sailed with P&O and Marella before and loved them and were looking forward to trying Royal Caribbean as we had heard they were great for teenagers. Whilst the basics were there and nothing was terrible, we felt that this cruise fell ...

A destination cruise not a cruise for the ship.

So we picked this cruise to surprise my mother and sisters who were taking the same cruise. Mostly Italian and Spanish guests onboard, who are quite rude. We did our research so knew it was a small older ship. Booking: We booked a package with flights and transfers through our TA. Any questions we had, had to go through our TA who would often get 3/4 different answers from RCL Customer ...

Nice ship, but not as we remember Royal Caribbean pre Covid

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

Before Covid we cruised on the Independence Of The Seas, whilst that ship was older and smaller it out classed the Odyssey of the seas by a clear mile. Firstly things like parades , well there weren't any. Secondly multiple theatre/Broadway style shows nighty and again there weren't any. Something big was missing on this ship, was it cost cutting? We as it Covid ? Or is this just how Royal ...

Lost a little love for RC this time around

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

4th cruise with RC and always been a fan before. First off the entertainment wasn't bad but very repetitive. The band playing in the Music Hall (the Dukes) played virtually every night and Phillippa the guitarist/vocalist played every night in the english pub. Previously you would have had more variety but less music (sometimes nice to have it quiet!). Shows were badly planned with regards to main ...

So I have cruised throughout my childhood and I have been on various cruises in the last 8 years but this was my first time with RC. Having watched the slick adverts for the biggest/newest boat my kids wanted to go on and do the waterslides/ice skating/ laser tag etc. We booked 5 months before sailing and there was only a handful of cabins left so we had a very limited choice and had a ...

This was my first RCI cruise. I chose it for its itinerary. The cruise started from Vienna/Ravenna, and, let me be clear, Ravenna is an expensive and inconvenient place to start a cruise. I had wanted to revisit Venice for a few days prior to the cruise, and very early on, I wrote to RCI inquiring about transfers to Ravenna from downtown Venice. I heard nothing. I called them, still almost 8 weeks ...

We felt that the food on this cruise was not up to par. We visited three of the specialty restaurants and decided to not go back to them the following week. In the Wind Jammer many of the hot foods were cold and cold foods were warm. They were often out of ice on both sides. They were often out of certain sodas in the self serve. The ship is older which we understand but the outlets in the cabin ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

This summer we decided not to go very far from home, so choosing a cruise departing from Stockholm did sound like a great idea since we live only a short subway ride away from the port. Royal Caribbean and Voyager of the Seas was acutually my very first cruise line and ship almost 15 years ago and I remember it as a mixed experience. Now with almost 20 cruises done since then and arround 8 of ...
