We have cruised quite a bit over the years and this one amazing ship. It is large (we had 7026 total guests and a crew of 2000+. We had an inside balcony at the aft end of the ship overlooking the arcade area. We could see the carousel, the water show and the gulf looking back. Not an ideal ocean view but not bad. At least we could sit on the balcony.
The food overall was very good. On lobster ...
We sailed two years ago on the voyager during Christmas and new year weeks. It was a back to back cruise. It included a sauna and steam room. They have been recently taken out(no more steam or sauna) and a large number of new cabins were added to accommodate more guests. The gym has been downsized. They have moved the crown and anchor from the 14th deck to deck 5 in the old card room It almost ...
Cruise: Voyager of the Seas 2/19/24 5-days from Galveston to Costa Maya and Cozumel.
Who: My DH, DD, DD's best friend who we invited along to keep her company, DD's best friend's parents who decided to come too, and of course me.
For my family this was our first cruise, for DD's best friend I think that was her third, for the other parents they cruise once or twice a year. ...
Our goal was to get our whole family together and give our grandchildren (age 5-11) their first cruise. The ship, the friendly staff, the outstanding waiters all worked well. The kids were happy swimming; we did not use the kids programs at all. They enjoyed the two shows we saw and everyone had a good time. Cabins were very clean as was the ship in general. The significant downside to the cruise ...
My #1 criticism about this ship was the elevators...so really, that's a pretty good thing. That said, I don't recall a ship with consistently longer wait times than this one. I don't know what the reason for this is (programming maybe?), but it was enough that we'd usually end up bailing and take the stairs. Not a huge deal, but it would be if we had strollers/wheelchairs etc.
The Windjammer ...
Last time we were on Royal Caribbean was before Covid. I always used to love Royal Caribbean until this cruise. Started off with problems with my seapass card. It would not work. Ended up missing the ice show. Had to stand in Guest services line twice to get a new cards issued. Ship is overrun with kids. Kids running up and down the hallways. Parents doing nothing. kids playing kickball in ...
We chose Odyssey of the Seas, because we have kids ages 10, 5 and 2, and there seemed to be a lot to do. The bumper cars were one of the things we were looking forward to, only to find out it’s almost a 2 hour wait! We waited in line for about an hour before we said we are wasting our time. Wish they would designate times for certain ages. The ship has a rule you can’t save poolside lounges, ...
INTRODUCTION
We were a mother (60s)/daughter (30s) traveling together. We’d originally booked this cruise when it was going to be on Brilliance of the Seas. We LOVE Radiance Class. However, after Royal did some shuffling of their fleet, we ended up on Enchantment of the Seas. After reading some recent reviews and watching recent passenger ship tours on YouTube, we prepared ourselves to be ...
We had so much fun on Explorer Feb. 4th -9th sailing. What I enjoyed was the diversity of people on board. I love seeing little ones enjoying.
The entertainer we booked to see playing in Schooner's, Perry Grant, could not be there last minute and I was so disappointed. David, who filled in, was a laugh and a half. And we were all surprised when fellow passenger asked to sing along and stole ...
We sailed previously on the Allure out of Galveston in February 2023, and we wanted to experience the Harmony, since it had been upgraded, and the Allure had not been.
We had checked in early and had an 11 AM boarding time so we headed there early in the day especially because Royal had sent multiple reminders of the Mardi Gras parades impact to traffic. However, traffic was light and we ended ...
