Orginally wanted to go to and overnight in St. Petersburg but they cancelled this and put in two diiferent ports of call which were a total waste of time. Thank you Mr Putin. Other ports were so so. Decided to go despite them cancelling St Petersburg but should of cancelled like everyone else as there were on 1,200 passengers on board. The routing on the ship was terrible we went back and forth ...
So, I said I would be back soon. After a week home for work. It was time to walk the gangway again on Voyager of the seas. This time by my partner in-crime. Mr Norwaylady.
He was super excited to finally walk the gangway again after 2.5 years and lots of cancelled cruises…. So his point of excitement and expectations was as mine last trip, it’s a CRUISE.
And the ports of call, area was not ...
This was the first cruise after a loooong break due to covid.
So the reason we booked this cruise, was that’s it’s close from home (Norway) and we know all destinations well. But it’s a CRUISE!
Normally we sail X. But the dates and ports of call fitted well for our tactics. So it was nothing new and adventurous on the plan, just a good cruise and all that it offers.
This cruise, I ...
Having been on cruises on more than one occasion including the Jewel of the Seas a few years ago, I have enough experience to know and appreciate what a good cruise is like. The ‘shows’ on Voyager of the Seas, were practically non-existent, compared to previous cruises. The ‘entertainment’, in most cases, ran for 30 – 45 minutes and, whilst entertaining, they were a poor relation to previous ...
Originally, I chose a different cruise, it was 11 nights on the Vision OTS from USA to South America, but my wife had got ill after the last cruise in October 2021 and was advised not to fly long-haul, so I swapped it for this one.
So, we travelled down by train from Nottingham to London and then tubed it into Heathrow T5 where I had arrange for a Antigen test for us both before getting on our ...
the best advice I could give you is to cancel if you have a reservation on the VOYAGER OF THE SEAS.
There are a lot of problems on this ship
during our cruise they didn't heat pools !!! (economy !) and closed 4 hots tubs on 6, they said they had to fix it.. they opened it the last day and HOT TUBS didn't work (no bubbles)
They didn't want to spend a lot of money during this cruise so ...
The service and food on this ship were excellent. The staff on the ship were very warm and outgoing towards each guest. Our servers at dinner were outstanding. I didn't have a bad meal. Even the desserts were delicious (and I rarely eat it ) and I ate it every day!!!
The excursions were well done. The tenders were set up very well according to ticket groups. We went on 4 ship excursions-

I'm not one to write reviews... From the minute we stepped aboard until we got off the ship voyager of the seas was fantastic. Customer service was friendly and consistent. Our stateroom was large enough for the three of us and was cleaned several times a day. Fresh towels dropped off twice a day, comfortable beds and clean. The shows aboard were 1st class and there was something for people of all ...
EMBARKATION: Finally got to the port and were frustrated by the confusion and inefficiency: though several RCL folks held up signs that pointed us in the terminal direction, they were too busy chatting with one another to advise us that the luggage had to be left off at a totally different building (which we had passed by already), so up the escalator, down the escalator, stand in some more lines ...
My wife and I have been on six cruises on four cruise lines. RCL; Holland America; Carnival and Celebrity. On this cruise we left from New Orleans. We had not cruised from there since before Katrina and were impressed with the port. There are several hotels from which you can easily walk to the port with your luggage (if there is one suitcase and one carry on each). We stayed at the Drury Inn for ...
