"m (causing us to miss the first day and half of our actual vacation and day one of the cruise) This was stressful and inconvenient to say the least, but I was able to get through via text to Royal Caribbean and explain the situation a customer service rep (Sam) who got in touch with our boat and through a lot of back and forth throughout the day they were able to allow us to embark as soon as our plane touched down in Sweden and we got to the port.First impressions - It was strange to be on a ship that was not full, at times it felt like a ghost town but it also meant that there was ample seating and really good service from staff; but this also meant that not all bars/services were available as they are on full ships...."Read More

Top (3) Cruise - RCL was Amazing

My wife and I are well experienced cruisers with over (30) years of cruising. For transparency, we are loyal RCL guests but have no issue sharing good and bad experiences. Our cruise departed from Copenhagen, Denmark on Voyager of the Sea's. We flew into Copenhagen a couple of days in advance and stayed over a day in Copenhagen after the cruise ended. We really waited until the week before ...

I will start with a few basics, this was our first cruise on Royal, first cruise post pandemic and first non Caribbean cruise, so there were a lot of new things to experience. About us- married empty-nesters, we both still work ft, so this was a true vacation. We are not big on 'shows' or games and tend to unwind by walking the promenade or listening to live music at one of the smaller ...

This summer we decided not to go very far from home, so choosing a cruise departing from Stockholm did sound like a great idea since we live only a short subway ride away from the port. Royal Caribbean and Voyager of the Seas was acutually my very first cruise line and ship almost 15 years ago and I remember it as a mixed experience. Now with almost 20 cruises done since then and arround 8 of ...

Baltic sailing finally happened

Originally planned this cruise for a 2020 sailing, finally happened in 2022. Not disapointed at all. Ship was 1400 guests which was 40% full. Never had to wait for really anything. Were on board in stockholm bu 10:30, the stress of pre cruise testing is real, but we made it. This was our first European cruise, very port intensive. The crew all wore masks and cleaned constantly, but were all ...

An enjoyable uncrowded trip

We booked this cruise well over a year before it left. The primary reason we chose this cruise was the stop in St Petersburg, Russia. Of course that was cancelled and while we considered canceling our trip as well, we didn't and I am so glad we didn't. While we were disappointed in the loss of that port I think that the itinerary was made up with the addition of Germany and Poland. While I do ...

Orginally wanted to go to and overnight in St. Petersburg but they cancelled this and put in two diiferent ports of call which were a total waste of time. Thank you Mr Putin. Other ports were so so. Decided to go despite them cancelling St Petersburg but should of cancelled like everyone else as there were on 1,200 passengers on board. The routing on the ship was terrible we went back and forth ...

So, I said I would be back soon. After a week home for work. It was time to walk the gangway again on Voyager of the seas. This time by my partner in-crime. Mr Norwaylady. He was super excited to finally walk the gangway again after 2.5 years and lots of cancelled cruises…. So his point of excitement and expectations was as mine last trip, it’s a CRUISE. And the ports of call, area was not ...

This was the first cruise after a loooong break due to covid. So the reason we booked this cruise, was that’s it’s close from home (Norway) and we know all destinations well. But it’s a CRUISE! Normally we sail X. But the dates and ports of call fitted well for our tactics. So it was nothing new and adventurous on the plan, just a good cruise and all that it offers. This cruise, I ...

The Cruise in general? Very disappointing.

Having been on cruises on more than one occasion including the Jewel of the Seas a few years ago, I have enough experience to know and appreciate what a good cruise is like. The ‘shows’ on Voyager of the Seas, were practically non-existent, compared to previous cruises. The ‘entertainment’, in most cases, ran for 30 – 45 minutes and, whilst entertaining, they were a poor relation to previous ...

Originally, I chose a different cruise, it was 11 nights on the Vision OTS from USA to South America, but my wife had got ill after the last cruise in October 2021 and was advised not to fly long-haul, so I swapped it for this one. So, we travelled down by train from Nottingham to London and then tubed it into Heathrow T5 where I had arrange for a Antigen test for us both before getting on our ...
