Well, where do i start. Ship is old and states that it had refirbushment. Well that may be but it still looks old. Our room balcony had been touched up with paint. Paint was over furniture and on ground. Obviously dont know about drop sheets to protect everything. No entertainement, as in broadway style shows that i have been on with Carnival and NCL (which have all been excellent). No comedy ...
I want to preface my review by stating that we don't care particularly for travel by bus, or "motor coach" as it is cutely described in the fine print. We especially don't like travelling by bus with our 18 month old child.
Well if you pick this cruise, be prepared to travel by bus, a lot.
The Itinerary
Let's start with the obvious - this "Venice" cruise, marketed as starting in Venice ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary but were ultimately disappointed with the destinations as the experience was spoiled by ridiculous numbers of tourists, despite it being towards the end of the season. The cabins were fine although the curtains were in dire need of replacing. In general the ship looked tired. The ship was generally very clean and our cabin was spotless thanks to our excellent ...
The cruise was a treat for myself, my wife and Son (21).
It started off great with a gentle cruise out of Venice capturing the views of let’s face it, stunning architecture. With purchased the all inclusive drinks package. Again what we expected no hidden nightmares.
Ship
Dated and in a poor state of repair : toilets not up to scratch along with the public areas below spec

I have always wanted to go on a cruise, I saved money for a long time, in order to take my daughter on this cruise. I had been given very high expectations from family and friends who have cruised, regarding the level of service that I could expect and the quality of the food.
My first disappointment was when we were met at Venice airport by Royal Caribbean staff, who told us that we had to ...

The ship was not well maintained. One of the elevators never worked. The food at the Windjammer was poor and the place not well cleaned. Very poor room service, one day we never received the breakfast we ordered, when called to ask why they said that they were very busy with too many orders, we had to leave the ship on a tour without breakfast. I have always cruised with Royal Caribbean but after ...
We flew into Venice 2 days prior to our cruise and stayed at the Santa Marina. It was a very interesting city and we had made plans prior to arrival for tours.
I was disappointed in our ship Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas. True it was an older ship, but I felt a little let down.
The cabin was I would say average, but the steward Victor was great.
Customer Service very rude, not ...
I chose this cruise for the ports of call. I've been interested in Greece for a long time. My passion for Greek history and culture began with two Classical Civilizations courses in college. This was to be a vacation of a lifetime for me. Athens was my number one bucket list destination.
This cruise was my first time aboard a Royal Caribbean ship. I researched a ton about this cruise and its ...
We have sailed with Royal Caribbean quite a few times now and have also booked a cruise in July 2018 so it is evident that we are generally happy with Royal Caribbean but definitely not so on this occasion. We arrived at Venice Marco Polo Airport just after 11am on 14th October where were informed that Rhapsody of the Seas had not yet docked due to foggy conditions so our luggage would be taken ...
