We chose this cruise as we wanted to tour the Greek Islands. Although we visited the places we wanted to go, we were there for such a short time at each stop, we barely had chance to see anything and at Santorini could not even eat. The ship is tiny with poor facilities. Long queues at bars, inability to get a sun bed and a seat in the restaurant. Total lack of information and some crew members ...
Venice was beautiful and a lovely city to visit as expected.
Embarkation was a problem as there were no wheelchairs for my dad upon arrival. We had to wait for one to come.
Ports of call seemed good and was to a certain extent Dubrovnik and Montenegro were lovely places to visit
Unfortunately and very disappointingly we had to miss Mykonos due to bad weather which was very very sad as ...
We chose this cruise for the ports - which remain the best part of the vacation. The cruise itself was not a great experience, which was very disappointing since this was our 4th cruise with Royal Caribbean. And it will be our last cruise with Royal Caribbean.
First - I'll start with the good things we did appreciate:
- Quick embarkation and disembarkation
- The shore excursions (that ...
saved up for a year counting down the weeks and days to go on our holiday ,then we board our ship ,everything looked brilliant ,but very noisy cabin after 4 days finally moved to an even louder cabin ,pool very dirty even though they changed the water 3 times in a week but we counted 70 people in the pool when the max is only 30 babies in nappies in the pool also ,and the jacuzzis had 14,15,16 ...
We chose the cruise for the destinations. Which on 50% of the time was as expected. The others were not as advertised. We had to pay extra to get into the local towns, even when using their shuttle services. In Dubrovnik, they charged $12 per person, they told passengers they needed to purchase tickets before they left the ship, so passengers panicked and purchased. When in Dubrovnik you could get ...
this was my least enjoyable cruise,I have gone with several companies with different ammenities and attractions but royalcaribbean international not the cheapest but very poor value ,no toiletieries very basic entertainment karaoka bingo.nd afteramy luugage was lost at the port and after three weeks of phone calls and paying one hundred and forty six euros to have my luggage returned I have not ...
We have just returned from a 10 night cruise around the Greek Islands with Royal Caribbean on Grandeur of the Seas and it was just like a floating holiday camp. For the money we paid we expected much more. The entertainment was worse than terrible, really boring cabaret - all American singers - you couldn't even call them singers, it was more like they were talking. You expect a luxurious ...
We sailed from Venice, Italy June 22, 2012. The ship, food, and entertainment are fine. However, the two rooms we were given completely ruined the cruise. We were given rooms 3644 and 3652 by an internet travel agent. These rooms are ocean view rooms located beneath the dining room according to the deck plan offered online. Unfortunately for us the deck plan map seems to be incorrect. My rooms ...
We were a family of four. Two 16 year old girls. We stayed two nights before in the Hotel Canal on the Grand Canal in Venice. Great location and just over the bridge from where the airport bus drops you off.
Getting on the ship
PROS
We were able to walk to the shuttle train (people mover) to get to the port terminal. It is only 1 EURO to the port terminal. All very straight ...
Our 35th wedding anniversary was to be celebrated with a cruise starting and ending in Venice, Italy. Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas was so bad, we have vowed never to cruise again. I selected our cabin specifically so we would have maximum space and privacy and that we did. However, our neighbors smoked so much that we essentially could not sit on our balcony the entire time of our cruise. ...
