Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We booked this cruise pre-Covid and did a Lift and Switch twice before finally making it onboard the Anthem of the Seas (or Hem of the Seas according to what the neon lights I viewed from my hotel nearby in the early morning hours of embarkation day spelled). We had an enjoyable, relaxing trip from Europe back to the USA, enjoying good food, great service, and fun activities to partake in onboard. ...

We are a couple from the Netherlands and have had some cruises done already. This was our first transatlantic cruise and our first cruise out of Denmark. We flew in 2 nights before and stayed in area close to the port. The metro was very conveniently located in 2 minutes walking distance from our hotel. The same metro we could use to get to the free port shuttle bus. Fantastic itinerary ...

My husband and I celebrated our 26th anniversary on this cruise. We had wanted to do it for our 25th, but of course, Covid got in the way. We've sailed with RCI before but never a transatlantic. Overall we enjoyed our vacation though there were a few bumpy spots. Embarkation went well. We were dropped off at the pier by my niece which was great since we didn't have to park. We had a 1:00 time ...

A perfect ship for a Transatlantic

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Wonder of the Seas

The ship is a literal floating city complete with neighborhoods, IE Boarwalk Central Park, Promenade. There is a ton of good enterainment at all times. The only reason is that the food was not nearly as good as on Celebrity APEX. You have to go to the specialty restaurants if you want a good meal. The food in the MDR is passable and thats it. Nice people serving you there. We had Lobster at ...

We booked this transatlantic cruise in the depths of the pandemic to have something to look forward to - we never imagined that we'd still be wondering right up until the last minute whether it would go or not. Along with being our very first time on an Oasis class ship, our experience was certainly different due to the very small number of pax on board: approximately 1300 on a ship designed to ...

Overall a wonderful cruise, but with a few complaints

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

This was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean--having been on Holland America (3-star Mariners), NCL, Celebrity and Carnival. We liked the itinerary and the timing was right for us. We booked 21 nights which was sold as part of a package, but turned out to be basically two cruises, back to back: A TransAtlantic out of Tampa, and then a week in the Mediterranean ending up in Venice. Another recent ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Chose this cruise for its ports. Entertainment was good the first 10 days, but how many times can you listen to an island band play same songs night after night while making up words. Also headliner shows were too loud and not very good. One night was cruise director singing songs from early 1900, and a lot of people got up and left' Food was good, except for spare ribs in MDR. Couldn't ...

Excellent service, but tired shows

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Except for the Rosario Strings and the Buenos Aires tango show, the others seemed a bit tired. Jody the piano guy was a disappointment as we normally like to sit and listen and sing along with the piano man. The other area that could be improved was the lack of 24 hour food. The larger ships have a place where you can get some some savory and sweet snacks almost round-the-clock. One thing ...

Wasn’t the best

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

User Avatar

We did the back 2 back Venice to Barcelona because of the ports then Barcelona to Tampa because we like transatlantics. The Rhapsody is an older ship that doesn’t have any of the updated features we’ve become accustomed to on newer ships. Can’t view your account from the TV, no selection of movies in your room, can’t hear announcements. So if you don’t like all the bells and whistles this is ...
