1st time cruise GREAT EXPERIENCE

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Independence of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

As a family of 7 we had 3 separate cabins with balcony. It was great to have the balcony rooms to experience the ship saying into towards the islands/locations we were visiting. The cabins were comfortable for sleeping. We could have done with more storage space for our 2 weeks work of clothes. The dining experience was fantastic thanks to the 2 at tentative waiters in the Main Dining room. In ...

First time we did a trans Atlantic cruise. For our 40th anniversary. We did numerous specialty restaurants. Most favorite was Wonderland. Very special. Even if you are picky eater (like me) you should try it. We thought all the dining was great. We had lamb for our first several dinners at different restaurants. The best was at the Solarium (slightly extra cost) but worth it. We did My ...

Following a wonderful family trip across Europe we enjoyed a 13 day transatlantic cruise. I was very concerned that there might not be enough activities for my wife. Luckily the activities director was a non stop activity machine. The lovely Talita Leone taught Zumba and stretching and Brazilian dancing classes daily in the centrum and pool side. Fantastic. The evening events included parties ...

Great TA Activities

The Vision of the Seas Officers, Cruise Staff and Crew were very friendly and highly visible. This TA offered new, fun, free activities that we had never experienced before - the egg drop, cake decorating, scavenger hunt, debates, Neptune ceremony, escape room puzzle, Crew talent show, many different game shows, to name a few. This was our first time on a Vision Class ship and while not as “kid ...

First time for RCL to go to Greenland. Plus Iceland and other ports. Embarcation was fastest of any cruise we have been on. Very satisfied with all acpects of the ship. Weather prevented use of most outside facilities and activities. The "at sea" days were spread out ,which was good. Only negative was that the food in the main dining was average at best. About 60% of the menu was the same ...

Inaugural Greenland Crossing

Two years ago, we found ourselves cruising the Baltic on the Serenade. During that sailing, they began advertising for their fall crossing from Copenhagen to Boston. It looked intriguing, so we kept our eyes peeled for future crossings. Cut to 2017, and they released our itinerary with the addition of Greenland! We jumped at the chance to book it, and we were not disappointed! What was ...

Did back to back cruises from Copenhagen to Baltic and then across to Boston. Loved all the ports, they were all new to us except Stavanger. First time Royal was in Greenland, going through Prins Christian Sund was gorgeous. We had 14 ports in 23 days, what a great itinerary. We spent three days in Copenhagen before departure and enjoyed the city immensely. We did independent tours, not from the ...

Always wanted to take Transatlantic cruise. I am glad we did it and with Royal Caribbean. We can't think of any bad experience all the way. All the crew, food and entertainment was excellent. We are already thinking about next cruise with RCI. Starting from check-in and right up to disembarking at Civitivecchia the whole experience was very positive. Had similar experience with every stop ...

We did the trans Atlantic crossing. the ship was quite, not a lot of children on it maybe because it was a 14 night cruise and not school holidays in the USA. Meet some fantastic people on this cruise. the staff were wonderful and helpful in many ways. We are diamond member with crown and anchor, so spend some time in the diamond lounge, JJ was a very good host and a very pleasant lady. the ship ...

This was our second cruise with RCL. We chose the Jewel of the Seas because of the ports of call and it fitted best in our holiday planning. The embarkation and and disembarkation went very smoothly! It was impressive. We landed in San Juan at 10:30 and were on board eating lunch at 12. In Cicitavecchia/Rome our meeting time for disembarkation was 7:15 and we were at the airport at 08:50. I ...
