We boarded in Barcelona on a Transatlantic to Brazil. To start applying for the Brazilian Visa was a big hassle which took over 3 weeks to finalize. Boarding process was not too bad but there were a lot of confusion at the beginning. Once on-board, the ship is showing its age but appears clean and staff is friendly. Our Jr. Suite was quite spacious but the TV was very small and dated. Our ...

We are Diamond members and stockholders, however will not go on this cruise ship again! Pros: 1. Very good food. 2. Room service good. Diamond Lounge was good. Cons: 1. Supposed to leave ship on debarkation at 8:15 a.m. finally got off at approx. 4 hours later. Stood in line to disembark for approx 2 of those hours! Many people had canes and a few wheelchairs, however, no assistance to help ...

We are very disappointed with Royal Caribbean. First the checkin was a mess too many people not enough help. The cabin was very nice with the split bathroom, shower was wonderful. Dining The windjammer was a joke not enough tables, when you found a table they were covered with dirty dishes and not enough help to clean up, never went there again. Once was enough. The restaurants were ...

Debarkation

Evidently, they were more interested in getting into port to celebrate their first docking in America than their existing passengers that made the transatlantic voyage. It took us 4 hours of waiting before we desinbarked. When they did get us off, a lady was very rude and asked us to hurry-hurry up! At that time I had a bad ankle and had a problem standing in line for a long period of time. We ...

This was our 17th cruise on RC. All our other cruises were wonderful. This one was NOT! I don't know if RC uses the repositioning cruises as training schools for their staff, but it sure seemed that way. First the good. Ports of call and all land tours were great.Tour guides were knowledgable and entertaining. Entertainment on the ship was very good. Cruise director "Chloe" was charming and ...

Horrible food; I'm going back to Holland America.

When I purchase a transatlantic cruise, I expect the food to be above average. We are not the college/Caribbean crowd that gets drunk and parties on a 4 night cruise out of Miami, the demographics on board are more affluent. I had a wonderful cruise on Royal back in 97 and had no problem booking them this time expecting the same. In the years between 97 and 2015, I had been over on Holland ...

How to ruin a great ship, add lots of dinning rooms, charge extra for most, add more reservations, provide lousy service, call it dynamic dinning. Be aware menus repeat after only a few days in the complimentary dining rooms. Entertainment, Mamma Mia, reservation was not available when we finally got out of the dining room, so we missed that performance. The other two main shows were not ...

Failure to WOW

Even the future cruise discount and $300 onboard credit can't make up for the many failures of the maiden voyage. It took over an hour of standing to get checked in and same to get off. The highly anticipated and much publicized high tech capabilities was a low tech bust. The Robotic Bar seldom worked, the Internet was slow if you could get on it, the cabin thermostat was frozen, the bumper cars ...

QUANTUM is EPIC FAILURE—2½ STARS!!!

QUANTUM is EPIC FAILURE—2½ STARS!!! This is my 5th transatlantic cruise, out of 15 cruises and my second maiden transatlantic, from this route. This ship has many similarities with my maiden voyage with the NCL Epic (2-Star vessel/voyage). In short this ship is much more an NCL vessel than a ship within the RCCL fleet. This ship is a complete disgrace and not representative in any way, shape, or ...

This was my ninth cruise, my fourth on Royal Caribbean lines. Can't say that the embarkation process went smoothly but my companion acted like he owned the place and proceeded to a short line (we also did not stand in the long luggage line outside the terminal but carried our luggage through the entire steps of admittance and security). In essence, the embarkation was totally surprising, given the ...
