Liked the itinerary on the first leg of the trip. October 27 -November 6,2016 Took back to back. This was November 6- 18,2016 It was a transatlantic from Rome to San Juan ,PR. The person asking trivia questions had such a thick accent. It took 45 minutes sometimes just to understand a 15 question trivia. Almost everyday there were major publications errors. Days at sea were listed as ...

Check in super, cabin was large and clean. The Food was just average but cooked badly. Most dishes were so bad you could not eat them. A British Chef that could not cook english food. Lancashire hot pot is made with best end of lamb ( neck) and not with Beef. They started to run out of things early in the cruise this time. The USA control in St thomas was so badly organized, the USA ...

Cruise line gone basic

The cruise was not the same as in 2008 and 2009 they have cut back too much for profit. Stateroom staff and main dining room staff where brilliant. The bar staff was cut to a minimum, not the correct glasses for the drinks, cocktails where served in wine glasses this seems picky to some however it gives you the feel of what if happening - not enough bar staff no nuts no canapés they even ran out ...

Disappointment

5 other transatlantic voyages on Royal Caribbean and this was by far the most disappointing. First, the food was exceptionally bland and tasteless in both the main dining rooms and the Jade and Windjammer, surprisingly even the Indian food (which was readily available) was exceptionally bland. The choices for dinner in the dining room were much down-scaled from what I have encountered on prior ...

Ship is awesome, organisation sucks

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

Embarkation and disembarkation went very smooth and fast. The ship itself is awesome and big. There are enough things to do on board. The stateroom was big, comfortable and had enough space to put your clothes and other stuff away Dining was excelent and the food delicious. Entertainment and activities are good. Service was very poor (I had booked a stateroom decoration as a ...

Shocking decline of a once beautiful ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

After a month long trip thru Europe, my wife and I were looking forward to our second cruise aboard the Brilliance of the sea from Barcelona, Spain to Tampa, Florida. Having cruise on her back in 2003, we always talked about how beautiful a ship she was and how good the food and entertainment was. Unfortunately, this was not to be a repeat performance of the same caliber. We were very ...

We chose the Brilliance because we cruised from Boston two years ago on the same ship. Two years ago the service was AMAZING! This trip turned out to be the biggest disappointment ever. We are diamond members and had to search high and low for all the so-called perks for diamond cruisers. (Pathetic) The food in the dining room was the worst we have ever had. It was tasteless, cold, and one of ...

Extremely disappointed by the company, not by the itinerary

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

First of all: itinerary was perfect, Copenhagen to Boston with four days in iceland. Ship was clean, but we found traces of poor maintenace on all decks. Nor elevators or stairs in the AFT, quite far away in midship. Most of the staff seemed to be new and untrained ... especially in the buffet restaurant it needed a couple of days before it worked half-way. Some crew members were kind and exerted, ...

If you are considering booking a wedding with Royal Carribean DON'T and please consider the following. Disclaimer: I DO TIE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ROYAL ROMANCE DIRECTLY WITH THE CRUISE AS A WHOLE. First off there is a brochure/downloadable pdf on the Royal Carribean website that paints it all as a well oiled machine. As though it is all worked out and everything will be taken care of. This is ...

RCL customer service fails you.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Independence of the Seas

User Avatar

Our second cruise with RCL after a poor experience with them on the Baltic but we decided to put that to the back of our minds and try a second go. Mistake. Once again we have found RCL customer services 'wanting' on this trip - this time aboard the Independance of the Seas. Embarkation was messy, stressfull and the porterage service a shambles compared to say Olsen or Cunard. One of our ...
