This was our 15th cruise. We are about 60/40 with RCCL. First time on the IOTS, but have sailed on her "sisters". The ship is beautiful and we thought in great condition. We were concerned when we received notice that embarking would be delayed due to a required deep cleaning after a "sick" cruise. While we appreciated the notification, we were not impressed with the deep cleaning. We noticed that ...

Awesome Ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Quantum of the Seas

The Quantum is a beautiful ship with some awesome built in amenities. The seats in the Royal Theater have vents along the backs to help keep the temperature comfortable throughout. All the different cabins we visited had well-distributed vents above the cabinetry and intakes distributed below. Although we stayed in one of the less expensive cabins - an oceanview - we did not feel RCI cut the ...

WAY Better Than Expected...

We had cruised previously (Panama Canal, Caribbean, Mexico) but this was our first cruise in eleven years. From the various reviews I read, I was expecting a significant decline in service, food and, well, just about everything. Seems like most reviewers liked past cruises much better... Not us. This transatlantic cruise was just fine. The Liberty was big enough to never really feel crowded. ...

We have sailed previously with Royal Caribbean on three seven day cruises in the Med so this was a real treat. We did our own little touring around on our ports of call and really enjoyed Cadiz, Spain. the landscape in the Canary Islands was stunning. The weather was fantastic with sun bathing days barring one half day where the pools where closed due to moderately rough seas on the first day ...

I booked this cruise as I wanted to experience Oasis but wasn't that impressed with her Caribbean itinerary she was coming to Europe and we enjoyed our last transatlantic so we went for it. First Time Cruiser? Ourselves as well!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

We are prairie people from Saskatchewan and are in our mid 50s. This cruise seemed like a good deal in that for $1399 pp we had a balcony cabin on the bump-out, Premium Drinks package, and a $200 on-board credit. Though well over a year's time away, we booked it. One way airfare from Winnipeg (where we now reside) to Barcelona well in advance was initially $2200 Cdn. per person! Flying a day ...

First TA cruise for us, we are not seasoned cruisers by any stretch of the imagination, but had a ball on this journey. Met some really interesting people, and really had time to relax and do everything we wanted to.. as normally it's a port every other day, and there's no chance to explore the ship or do all the activities you want to do.. I thought that maybe 13 nights would be too long, but it ...

An Amazing Cruise

This was our very first Transatlantic Cruise. We arrived in Barcelona 2 days prior to the cruise. We stayed at the Torre Cataluna Hotel right a crossed from the main Train Station. I would give it a 4 1/2 star rating. We had a suite and the most fascinating view. We boarded the ship quite easily. The 13 days on the ship were just great. The menu in the dinning room was good but with minimal ...

October 26, 2014-November 8, 2014 Liberty of the Seas / Barcelona, Tenerife Islands, Canary Islands, Ft. Lauderdale What can I say about this cruise and ship. Well I can start with wow! For quite sometime I have been reading mixed reviews about the Liberty and I respect each and everyone of them and I hope you'll be kind enough to do the same. This is our third cruise on RCCL an my partners ...

Great Ship, Great Service, Food Could Use Some Improvement

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

We loved the ship! Lots of options on how to spend your time and really good entertainment. This was very important when we had 7 continuous days at sea! The service, particularly in the main Dining Room was excellent... many thanks to Munzil and Carlos who went above and beyond our expectations! The only small disappointment was the food. It was presented beautifully and any requested changes to ...
