What a fantastic cruise, this was our 1st cruise with Royal Caribbean but 3rd cruise after previously going on Disney's Dream and P&O's Britannia. Disney was great, but I think for our children (age 10 & 13) this one had the most to offer for the price we paid.
Embarkation in Barcelona was flawless and we were on the ship within 20 mins of arriving at the port. We were able of get straight ...
We are elite on Celebrity cruises and have tried different other lines. We have really enjoyed small vessels and river cruises. So this cruise was really out of the comfort zone before we left from home.
But what to do? Husband really wanted to try a mega ship. So at some point we just had to jump in it!
About us, we are in mid/late 30 from Norway. We like to travel and do both land and ...
This is our 5th RCL cruise, we have travelled on Allure, Oasis and a smaller boat. The big ships are so fun, with so many options of things to do for everyone.
We were on expedited check in which took literally the time to walk to the boat. We did not have to wait at all.
The first day on all ships I always find busy, there are so many people walking around confused, trying to find their ...
I have cruised 4 times...3 with Royal.
If your over 45 you will not like this ship as it is absolutely huge with line ups and long long walks for everything. There are charges also for everything but the air you breath! The cruise experience has been watered down too much.
If your under 45 and very active you will love all the toys and the shows and music are excellent.
Rooms are very ...
My wife and I had our first ever cruise on Ovation's debut from Southampton. So inspired we decided to go for the big one.
Check in - easy.
Room - large balcony on deck 12 - all you could ask for
Catering - excellent
Shows - absolutely stunning. Hairspray up to West End standards. Flight good, with amazing show stopper plane over the audience. Ice shows first class, with a ...
I took this cruise solo, but was part of a larger group for some of the social activities. It was my first time on Royal Caribbean and my first time on the latest and greatest mega ship. Embarkation was a breeze.
I had an interior room on the 12th floor. There was plenty of space for me (one person). I loved the layout and the bathroom design. I wasn’t bothered by any noises from outside ...
I chose this cruise to celebrate my adult son's birthday along with his fiancee! We decided to fly in the day before our cruise (something I highly recommend) to counter possible flight delays and to relax in beautiful Barcelona. From the time we boarded the ship, until the time we were escorted off by our wonderful Royal Genie, Smitha Thompson, we couldn't begin to imagine what a "shipload of ...
So, overall I'd give a 4.5. Great ship that I wish I'd had more time on (almost everyday was a port and since this was my first Europe trip I got off each day) so much to see and do on the ship and I feel like I only got 60%. Very good service, loved (my) stateroom person, loved my (dinning person-we got the same majority of the time). 98% of the crew I interacted with was nice and knowledable. ...
We chose this cruise for the ship. Having sailed Oasis and Allure before we were very much looking forward to this with our Children.
Service was exceptional. MDR waiters were spot on and excellent with our two little girls keeping them entertained all week, food they liked at the table waiting for us when we got to dinner etc. Cannot fault them at all and one of the main benefits of choosing ...
I was a little worried about going on the Symphony with some of the bad reviews written but thankfully I did not experience most of the issues that people have complaints about with the exception of money which I'll cover at the end!
Overall it was an excellent cruise and we really enjoyed. The ship is amazing and will be hard to go back to a normal ship. We traveled with our three year old ...
