Terrible Bed, threadbare towels & sheets. Ship needs a refurb.

Quick 7 day cruise from Melbourne Australia to Tasmania Australia return. Lovely time of the year. Ship is dated and in desperate need of refurb. The beds are old & hard, like sleeping on the floor. Steward provided a mattress topper but definitely not luxury and sheets were old and threadbare. The towels are also in need of upgrade. Definitely not a luxury cruise ship. No Egyptian cotton ...

The staff on Royal Caribbean are unbelievable. Their service makes your holiday exceptional. Great ship but needs better entertainment. Food is excellent. This is my second time of this ship and I would go again. Embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze, no waiting. We met some wonderful people who will become life long friends. Our cabin was great, first time we have booked a ...

7 Nights of relaxation visiting Australia Ports of Call

Nice and easy cruise for person with knee and foot problems. No tenders to get on and off at Ports of Call. Overall, the cruise was great value. Staff were very obliging. The Explorer of the Seas is a beautiful cruise ship and quite easy to navigate. It was kept in very clean condition both inside and out. As it is very long, this makes for a lot of walking. My only criticism is the American ...

I have never really wanted to do a cruise, but finally caved in to my partners wishes. Picked this cruise purely due to the fact the ship docked at Wollongong on my 60th birthday. I have never been so glad to be wrong. I enjoyed every minute of the cruise on the Explorer of the seas. The staff were friendly and professional at all times. Especially the 2 dining room wait staff, Aakash and Devi. ...

The cruise started early when a number of us got together from the cruise critic site and had pre-sailing drinks and dinner at Watson's Bay Hotel. This got us all in the mode for a good cruise, and meant we knew people before the trip even started. The trip always starts with the boarding process. As there were no Customs requirements this went very smoothly. We arrived early-ish to drop the ...

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

We chose this cruise as we had been to the pacific islands on Celebrity Solstice twice and wanted some new experiences - a new cruise lin, different itinerary and different ship, hence friends recommended RCL and some friends from a prior cruise were travelling on this cruise - we are a married couple late 50s and also travelled with a friend from work, a single lady in her early 60s. Positives ...

I have just returned from a 9 night Sth Pacific Cruise on Voyager. Balcony Stateroom, Deck 7 The staff once again are so wonderful and I really appreciate the hard work they do and the sacrifices they make to provide the wonderful service they do. Always friendly and so helpful. The Voyager of the seas has a lot to offer. This is my third time on Voyager. She is starting to get a little ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

Having cruised many times with RCI we have always been impressed with the high level of service, cleanliness and hygiene, unfortunately these three important basic needs were sadly lacking on this cruise. If you like queuing for just about anything from food, drinks, rides, theater and getting off at ports then this is for you. It seemed to us that whilst at sea RCI are of the opinion that ...

My husband and I wanted a short, relaxing getaway. We also wanted to try out Ovation of the Seas. The cruise was perfect in every way. I loved how modern the ship was. Everything felt bright and clean. Considering how many people are on board a ship of this size, embarkation went extremely smoothly. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the solarium and the restaurant nearby. The windjammer was ...
