My experience on Odyssey was generally positive, with a few hiccups. Here are some pros and cons:
Pros:
-The ship is beautiful, easily navigable, and well-equipped
-The staff were all exceptionally friendly
-My stateroom was spotlessly clean and had plenty of storage
-Onboard activities were fun and diverse, but you need to book ahead of time!
-The destinations on this ...
Pluses
+ Good intinary
+ Ports are unique and don't typically see on 7 days trips
+ Some of the entertainment staff were exceptional at there jobs
+ Main dining room food was good but not great
+ No ferrying required at ports
Minuses
- Over priced for the money we paid
- Ship is very old and rough condition. Should be retired
- Geared towards Spanish language ...
We love this class of ship. So many great venues. We’ve sailed on Ovation before and were really excited as Odyssey is even larger and has a couple additional places to dine or drink. We are a bit disappointed in the overall lack of appealing entertainment with some terrific venues being underutilized. Two70 sits eerily quiet during the day on sea days whereas Ovation had some live music. The ...
Unbelievable experience on this ship! Where to start... The first day I found that all of the reservations that I had made for dinner were gone from the RCCL app so my husband and I went to the Main Dining Room directly to find out our dining time. It was a bit crowded, so I sought out a member of the wait staff that was outside of the dining room to explain our situation and seek guidance. ...
Many things wrong with this ship.
Very outdated Ship, desperately needs a refurbish
Most guests older, not a lot of kids
Specialty Restaurants Giovanni's was ok, Chops was horrific I ordered a bone in rib eye so did my wife and we got, a different cut.
Staff was friendly
Windjammer was not same quality as the bigger boats
Too many disappointments
Ship should be named JUNK ...
This was our 8th cruise on Royal Caribbean. we've been on the Oasis class at least 4 times and on the Quantum class 4 times. The quantum class is our favorite, and the Odyssey did not disappoint.
Embarkation: we signed up for the KEY program, which comes with free Wi-fi streaming for each guest who gets the key, and you can board early and there are a few benefits throughout the cruise (we ...
For the amount of money we paid for this cruise. It was not worth it.
1. Our balcony room couch/bed was like a hard block. We had to double up on comforters for the kids to sleep better.
2. the stateroom attendant was never around. We had to constantly call for towels, toilet paper, tissues.
3. the Windjammer food was the same for breakfast every day and even during lunch and dinner ...
Despite prices rising the last few years across all of RC’s ships, the cost cutting continues.
Once a day stateroom service is a joke. RC should be embarrassed by this. When I was at guest services for a different matter, they grasped at straws to come up with explanations, or as I called them, excuses, as to why this was the case. My favourite was, “well all inclusive resorts only offer once a ...
A family of 14 travelled to Fort Lauderdale for an incredible gift from my mom on this adventure. I haven't been cruising for about 10 years (raising my kids) and I really loved my return to open water!
Good things:
1. The ship was well maintained and flowed nicely. Our cabin and room attendant was 5star plus.
2. The windjammer was better than I remembered.
3. The ports of call ...
I have 12 Royal cruises under my belt before this and number 13 was NOT the lucky one. I cruised with my wife and my 17 year old son. This was the first RC cruise I went on where I did not have that, "I want to come back" feeling.
The GOOD
1. Our waiter in the main dining room was spectacular. She was the shinning star of the cruise.
2. The casino was less smokey compared to other ...
