Really disappointed

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

We chose this cruise for the price but now realize you get what you pay for :-( Food was ordinary, with times we struggled to find anything on the menu we wanted to eat. The service was patchy, with us often asking for a coffee or tea (which occasionally didn't even make it to the table). Each night we were reminded to put a good word in for the staff in our reviews. There was no choice in ...

10 days lost from my life

We have Diamond status on RCL so we are not newbies. We have recently returned from a 10-day cruise to New Caledonia and just lost ten days out of lives that we will never get back again. This cruise was an absolutely terrible experience. I could not believe the inconsistent product everywhere. This cruise did not many of the basics expected from RCL, there was not even one fruit and ...

Worst Cruise Ever

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

Big interest from Australian people and advertisements saying Ovation of the Seas was a great holiday. It was far from a great Holiday, Noumea was our 1st stop and nothing to see. Mystery Island was our 2nd stop and its a Mystery why anyone would want to go to a speed hump in the middle of the ocean.Best stop was Bay of Islands where we actually got of the ship and did our own stuff in NZ at or ...

We originally went on Ovation 28th Feb 2017 (4 weeks ago) because it was a Royal Caribbean ship and a family member who had just returned from a cruise on "Freedom Of The Seas" (RC) said that the food was fantastic, the entertainment was fantastic, etc. My partner and I were so excited we booked the trip 2 weeks before departure date. Being a new ship with all the activities etc, we thought ...

I chose this cruise on the recommendation of a friend, that I was travelling with who had used Royal Caribbean many times. One the website the ship looked good and had plenty of facilities. The stateroom was dirty and shabby, the linen on the bed was yellow and tatty. The pillows were yellow from the use of many other passengers. The remote control for the tv didn't work. I had to phone 3 ...

Poor service and poor quality food

*I purchased the drink package but unfortunately I found that it was frustrating to try and get service from any of the bars on the ship, partly due to the lack of attention from the bar staff and also due to understaffing of the bars. For example in the star lounge on new years eve, the customers waiting for drinks were 4 to 5 deep but there was a considerable period of time where not a single ...

|As 2 couple we have sailed with Royal Caribbean for many years and enjoyed a high class of service and entertainment. We have done a Christmas cruise from Sydney before but this was the most expensive and worst cruise we have ever been on. Embarkation was quick and our suitcases arrived promptly to our stateroom. The food in the Windjammer was high quantity, low quality. Barely warm sometimes and ...

Worst RCI cruise we have ever had to endure

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

1. They need a lot more trained staff. The absence of trained staff who could speak English or knew what they were doing was very noticeable which led to poor service and lots of misunderstandings. We suspect that RCI was training new staff at our expense without having many experienced mentors. 2. The food offered at both Windjammer and the specialty restaurants was predictable, boring, ...

Family cruise - opportunity to relax together whilst someone else took care of the chores. Total balls up, cabins allocated all over the ship, nowhere near each other, in spite of being same cabin categories. Upgraded 2 of the cabins - but not the repeat clients (5th timers). Meal times not available as booked, meant family split and consequently could not attend shows/events/meals together. ...
