Lots to do and a port-heavy itinerary!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

This was a great trip. The Jewel is one of the smaller ships but it was perfect for this intinerary because it was so port-heavy. I wouldn't reccomend getting the drink package on this one. It seems like a great idea at first but if you plan to leave the ship every day to visit the islands, it would be more economical to just buy your drinks individually. We chose this cruise because we've ...

We chose this cruise because we like the Radiance class ships and for the port intensive itinerary. Here is a recap of our cruise and final thoughts after returning. Recap & Final thoughts: Pre Cruise stay: 2 nights at Condado Ocean Club. Premium Oceanview room. We really liked this hotel. It was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. The view from ...

Best Cruise Director

Review for a South America Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

One of the most fun cruises we have been on. I truly believe the Cruise Director makes and sets the tone for a cruise. Carly is head and shoulders above all cruise directors we have had...except for Chole, they're tied! She interacts with passengers, her staff is engaging . They involve all. The Captain was also present around the ship and it showed by how the crew interacted with passengers. ...

We were among the very lucky cruisers on the March 13 sailing who actually circumnavigated the Island of Horn at Cape Horn, thanks to our excellent Capt. Dimas Manrique, and Mother Nature's gift of relatively calm seas. This cruise was the trip of a lifetime for my DH and myself, and we loved every minute of it. We had a 3 night pre-cruise stay in Buenos Aires at the outstanding Icaro Suites ...

South America; almost rounded The Horn.

We took a 15 night cruise from Santiago -> Buenos Aires with a family of 5. Pros: 1. Great itinerary even though we weren't able to make a few stops due to inclement weather. Chile has a long coastline and most parts south of Puerto Montt are not accessible to cars, so this cruise was the best way to see this pristine part of Patagonia. 2. Food: Dinner at the main dining were great. ...

Cruise around South America

A different kind of cruise on Royal Caribbean. What made this cruise different was the Brazilian staff who were able to involve an international clientele in shipboard activities as in no other cruise I have been on (about 40 in all on RCCL). We embarked in Santos, Brazil and the boarding process was utter chaos with two other ships disembarking and intermingling with the newly arriving ...

I had initially booked this cruise because because I wanted to visit new destinations withou having to take an extremely long flight to Asia or Europe. Royal Caribbean immediately notified me that this was a "cultural cruise". This is a nice way of saying that this cruise is catered to Brazilians and the primary language onboard is Portuguese (don't let this frighten you, all staff onboard speaks ...

Our Mariner of the Seas TransHorn was outstanding! There were several glitches, that at the time were very annoying. However, looking back, they were just part of an itin and new crew and staff that were different and subject to mistakes. We met friends in Miami and flew LAN overnight to Santiago. Some confusion at the gate, but after boarding it was really a nice flight and great service from LAN. ...

WHAT A WONDERFUL

Review for a South America Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

User Avatar

We booked this cruise on Radiance of the Seas less than a month before the departure date. I found a price for 2 single balcony rooms that we simply couldn't refuse. We booked rooms 9254 and 9654 which were basically across the hall from each other but on opposite sides of the ship. They both had huge balconies (about 70 sq ft) and there was certainly room for more furniture in addition to the 2 ...
