-smoking area is situated next to swimming pools. Under a roof & not on open deck. Where children & families spend a lot of time. As an asthmatic I found this disgusting & a trigger for my asthma

We chose this itinerary as part of a Balinese Delights package which included stays in both Seminyak, Bali and Singapore.
Having read reviews of this ship but not this journey we were prepared for an Asian cruise with a very different clientele and cuisine but happy to embrace a new culture.

We have sailed only once previously with RC on Ovation of the seas, from Sydney to New Zealand and back to Sydney, and had a great time so we decided to try the newly renovated Voyager of the Seas. No complaints whatsoever. What a disappointment this cruise was.
The check in at Singapore was extremely unorganised.

Was this ship actually renovated?
US$100 million, where did the money go?
What did we notice was renovated:
- Windjammer marketplace buffet
- Theatre and seat coverings
- Studio Ice skating seating
- Upper deck surface
- Vitality centre/massage etc
Where did the the rest of the cash go?

I and my family were on a vacation to Penang and Phuket. It was afternoon when we embarked. The exterior of the ship was patchy, rusty and old. Barnacles lined the bottom.
