To mention little of the potential causes of hygiene issues onboard, we were advised by medical staff to be quarantined to our rooms after consulting them following our children's vomiting and diarrhoea starting from our second full day aboard. We chose this itinerary as part of a Balinese Delights package which included stays in both Seminyak, Bali and Singapore.
Having read reviews of this ship but not this journey we were prepared for an Asian cruise with a very different clientele and cuisine but happy to embrace a new culture.

We have sailed only once previously with RC on Ovation of the seas, from Sydney to New Zealand and back to Sydney, and had a great time so we decided to try the newly renovated Voyager of the Seas. No complaints whatsoever. What a disappointment this cruise was.

Was this ship actually renovated?
US$100 million, where did the money go?
What did we notice was renovated:
- Windjammer marketplace buffet
- Theatre and seat coverings
- Studio Ice skating seating
- Upper deck surface
- Vitality centre/massage etc

I and my family were on a vacation to Penang and Phuket. It was afternoon when we embarked. The exterior of the ship was patchy, rusty and old. Barnacles lined the bottom.
