I planned a sightseeing trip to Singapore and wanted to include a relaxing cruise on a RCCL ship while I was there. This was a four night cruise to nowhere.
As a solo traveller, I stayed in an inside cabin on deck 11. The cabin was spacious and included a king size bed and a lounge suite. The bathroom was adequate and it included a glass shower screen, not a curtain. This is a nice feature of ...
Third cruise overall, third with Royal, first through Asia. The overall experience had pluses and minuses when compared to previous sailings through the South Pacific (on Radiance and Explorer).
Pros - the indoor pool was a great space to relax with the kids outside of the harsh SE-Asian sun, with the air-conditioning just right (not too cold, not too hot). The Solarium was a beautiful space ...
Usually travel po and the old Thompson crushes
The food is a lot better on this ship, actual buffet is excellent , entertainment some excellent some not very good
A lot of passengers shore excursions all at same time very unorganised feeling like you are behind herded not a nice experience , one tender trip had to queue 50 mins in sweltering heat to get back on board , felt sorry for ...
We were all looking forward to this family holiday, Singapore to Singapore cruise and I have to say I am going to stick with Princess Cruise Line. The food was average, the fine dinning was not what I have experienced on the Princess ships, at times the chicken was very dry. One night in the food court the food manager came in for tea and sat next to us, and complained of the dry chicken and we ...
Being on Mariner of the cruise a couple of times with amazing experience , we opted for quantum of the seas (having seen it being advertised 4 years ago) for our maiden sailing experience with our extended family .
Pros :
-Quantum is beautifully built , she’s majestic , stylish , modern , clean and well maintained
- Staterooms were comfortable and well designed with good use of space ...
The ship indeed is a technological marvel. The advanced features such as the virtual balcony, SeaPlex (which transformed into a bumper car arena, laser tag course, basketball court, badminton court, etc.), North Star, iFly simulator, Ripcord and many others were truly an experience.
The swimming pools were rather small and there were no water slides nor much play area for children.
The food ...
It went wrong with the check in counter at the terminal of Marine Bay Cruise Terminal in Singapore.
Before that awful experience everything went smooth.
It was my wife’s Australian visa, although GRANTED, that caused the uproar.
She is Filipina, a flight attended for 33 years with Cathay Pacific, and applied on line for an Australian Visa, which was granted within 3 days.

One of the reasons we chose this cruise is that we had never been to Darwin. Well. we still haven't! The Exit deck was changed from Deck 1 (as was widely advertised) to deck 4, and the ramp provided was incredibly steep. I hired a scooter for the express purpose of seeing Darwin, but it would not have been safe to take it down the incline, nor would I have been able to ride it back up. ...
We spent a wonderful week in Singapore before boarding for the Cruise to Australia so we were looking forward to the cruise home. Voyager was the first ship we ever sailed on with Royal Caribbean several years ago and we were anticipating a great cruise similar to our previous experience. Boarding in Singapore was a nightmare. Very slow, hot and some not very accommodating port staff, in fact, ...
I sent out a number of messages to the cruise line that my membership number was not showing up in-spite of number of reminders.
We were not allowed to check in the members counter. No recognition for the Loyalty shown why have this program.
The food on the ship was worse then earlier cruises. One expected better Vegetarian food being in this part of the world.
The service in the main ...
