The ship came right from dry dock when we went on board in Barcelona, Monday, Dec. 10.

1-10 of 37 Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas Cruise Reviews for Romantic Cruises to Europe - Western Mediterranean
Just got back from Rome after a wonderful cruise onboard Serenade.
Yes, this is my first Review on cc, and No English is not my first language hope u all understand :-)
We were travelling as a Group of four adults (28-32 years old) and my 2,5 year old son.
The reason for picking this cruise was the convenience of a 3h non stop flight, travelling with Little ones can be hard sometimes!
We had a ...
Our trip started by staying at the Silken Diagonal for two days in Barcelona, Spain prior to our departure. The hotel is very modern but small it's only made for two people so we had to have two rooms for a party of four. It was very central because you had the subway near and the Red Big Bus stops across the street too. The morning breakfast is included and it was buffet style. This reservation ...
This was my 4th cruise overall (1st cruise with RCCL), and my husband's 1st cruise ever. We are both in our early 40's, and selected this itinerary for our honeymoon. Our wedding took place on a Saturday afternoon, we flew from MSP to BCN on Sunday morning, and arrived in BCN early Monday (ship sailed at 4pm, I believe).
Initially, we had wanted to pre-register for RCCL’s "Barcelona Highlights" ...
We have just completed a 11 night cruise on the Serenade of the Seas, departure port Barcelona on the 12th May 2014.
Embarkation/Disembarkation. We made our own way to the port and made use of the Port shuttle bus. Check in was quick and easy, same with disembarkation.
State Room/Service. Room was very clean and spacious and our stateroom attendant George was friendly and attentive. All other ...
We are frequent cruisers on Royal Caribbean, and several years ago we did a 7 night Med Cruise with my father. After getting a taste of Italy and Spain (not so much France!) I have been wanting to go back. We booked this cruise shortly after it was released, and managed to get a great deal on an Aft Balcony. We used FF miles for the airfare and cashed in RCCI points for OBC, so we were already ...
My wife and I returned last week from a 12 day cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas. The cruise began and ended in Barcelona, Spain with scheduled visits to Cannes, France; La Spezia (Florence/Pisa); Civitavecchia, Italy (Rome); Salerno, Italy; Ravenna, Italy; Venice, Italy; and Dubrovnik, Croatia. We did not visit Ravenna due to high winds and high seas. The Captain made a wise ...
My husband and I sailed on the Serenade of the Seas for our honeymoon. It was a fantastic trip and everything was excellent!
Embarkation/Disembarkation: We used Royal Caribbean's airport transfers between the pier and the airport and vice versa. The representative was easy to spot when we got out of customs in Barcelona and we got on the bus and to the pier with no problems. Check-in was quick. ...
We had 2 Grand Suites. 1552 and 1554. 1554 was a little closer to the centrum but much noisier. You could hear the activities and music day and up to about 11 at night. During the night it was quiet until about 3 am when they started to clean deck 10 and drag the chairs about. I used ear plugs but for noise reasons wouldn't book 1554 again. Parents in 1552 rarely heard the centrum but had the same ...
This trip was my first time overseas, and I traveled with 3 other people. 3 of us stayed in a Jr. Suite, which was very comfortable. A very large closet, and full size bathtub, more than enough storage for 3 women! A wonderful balcony of the Starboard side with 4 chairs and a table, which we used everyday! The ship has recently been refurbished, and I found it to be quite nice. My one complaint ...
This was our 4th cruise but 1st with RCI. To us they have nailed everything spot on! We booked a private cab from Barcelona to the ship which was 57 euros return for 4 people, ziptransfers. Embarkment was less than 5 mins and we headed straight to the pool, we were relaxing by about 1130am! Cabins were ready around 2pm. I had booked the cheapest cabin, no window, in the dungeon bat cave on deck ...
