What a terrible experience
"Let me start by letting you know that we have been cruising for more than 30 years and have had many great experiences. We booked our cruise with RCCL more than a year in advance and requested early dinning. When..."Read More

This was our second and most probably our last cruise. Having previously travelled with P&O, we were lead to believe that things could only get better. Our maiden cruise to the Norwegian Fjords was plagued with badly arranged events and a very poor attitude by the crew we encountered, The 'best' part of the P&O cruise was the time spent ashore and away from the boat. Royal Caribbean was ...

My compliments to the chef in the Windjammer Café. The food in the buffet was excellent! We never bothered to eat in the main dining room as the service is so slow, but the buffet was great (varied menu every day, including lobster on the last night). Kudos to the Music Maker 4-piece band as they played the best dance music on the ship! We danced mostly in the Centrum on a hard tile ...

The Serenade is a nice smaller ship,,, not as well kept as it should be. A little dirty in some places. The Internet is terrible,, can't log on,,doesn't stay connected,,and so slow,,,,,,, with staff only available at certain hours,,, not worth the cost !!!! Crew & Waitstaff are GREAT!!!!!,,,, Food as fine as any ,,,,Better then most,,,, Only real complaint was the Whale ...

Friends talked us into going on one. The raved about the food and the availability of it. I found it difficult to get a snack such as chips or nuts anywhere. The food was not good. The only meals we enjoyed were the ones we had to pay extra for. Funny how that works. Also some of the excursions planned by the cruise seemed really enjoyable but once on the bus the tour guide was not that well ...

First time with RCI and probably the last - not a patch on Norwegian or Princess with which we can compare. Ship ok if a little tired but our Ocean view cabin was fine with a large round window admitting plenty of light, comfortable bed, adequate bathroom & plenty of hanging space. Getting on and off well handled and relatively quick but once on board the marketing of services and goods was ...

The cruise itself was as expected. The ports were lovely and we had fantastic weather for all ports. However, one of the very first things that I noticed was that all of the windows in the ship were very dirty and it was difficult to see out to the sea or the ports. My group of 9 friends all purchased the drink package, and found that we had long wait times to get our own drinks most of the ...

My wife and were traveling with two other couples and have been on other cruises. We had not had the pleasure of being with Royal Caribbean before. We were excited to take this cruise as it contained the area that interested the six of us together. In my experience I noticed the lack of training of the crew in some of the most basic skills I think necessary to operate a successful cruise. This ...

This is the first cruise that I went on with JUST my sister. In the past, our parents or several other family members have been with us. We opted for this cruise because of a no-deposit deal. There was nothing terribly BAD about the cruise, but for two single girls in their early thirties, there were definitely some things to be desired. There were a lot of people on the cruise that were our ...

The second day at sea I had not heard where the Cruise Critic meet up was to be so I checked with the guest services and was told it had already happened and they gave me to note. They would note that I was missed on the distribution. Sorry to have missed seeing any of you that did attend. My stateroom was what I expected and served my needs well. Attendant was excellent. The ship is good ...

This was the annual repositioning cruise of whatever Radiance class ship is sailing the Boston - Canadian Maritimes route - this year the Serenade. The cruise leaves Boston and then spends 12 days doing a southern Caribbean cruise before winding up in its Florida winter port - Ft Lauderdale this year. I am a Pinnacle member of RCI and sail with them frequently as RCI is one of the only lines ...
