We chose this cruise because of the Port Canaveral Departure and Bermuda stop
Mariner of the Seas
May 15, 2022
8 days, Bermuda, Nassau, CoCo Cay
Room 6283. Promenade
We flew into Orlando (MCO) early Saturday morning.
We used Mears (Go Car) service to Hampton Inn Seaworld. Car service was great.
Can’t say enough good at the hotel. Great staff, clean, and quiet for the ...
A few months ago we were on the Mariner of the Seas and had a bad experience with the food which I reviewed on this site. When we sailed again this month, the service and the food in the main dining room was 100% better!!! We had a great waiter and the food was so much better. The Windjammer was a lot better too--the only problem was they did not have any bananas the 1st 3 days--a supply ...
After several emails and messages telling us to make sure we were on time, we queued with thousands of others outside in the rain for more than an hour before boarding. No apology or even a mention from RCI, so I presume this is normal.
My suitcase was delivered to the cabin at 8.30pm, 7 hours after I left it with the check in team !! No apology or explanation, so maybe normal?
Our dinner ...
I can honestly say worst cruise I have ever been on. The first day we show up at 1:30 our given time to check in. We had our documentation. Covid test negative, Covid vaccine and passports. Before boarding they ask for your documentation. We were told Covid test had to be electronic. I asked please show me where that was written. The gentlemen said he didn't have the paperwork and if ...
Let me get the only negative aspect of our cruise over with so we can proceed to all the great experiences onboard Mariner of the Seas. My issue is not with Royal Caribbean but with the Bermuda Government. The itinerary was reversed sailing to Bermuda 1st, then Nassau and Coco Cay, which was fine as we could enjoy our sea days at the beginning of the trip. We were informed by Royal Caribbean of ...
Booked this cruise back in December 2020 with Credit card points that were expiring. Got a Crown Loft Suite. Cancelled a few times because of Covid concerns, but finally sailed. Still wasn't crazy about covid levels but I came up with a plan.
You used to be able to arrive at port early if you have a suite. We were given a 1:30 time slot, and could arrive an hour early as a suite customer. It ...
Just completed our first cruise since pre-covid. It was great to be back on the ship again and the staff was happy to greet us. However, they are still trying to put everything back in place. On this cruise our cruise director told us as of the next cruise all of their 26 ships will once again be at sea. Like land-based businesses, they are having trouble finding crew members for all the duties ...
We have sailed on 9 different Royal Caribbean ships in the last 7 years. There are always a few issues here and there, most of the time just to be overlooked. But not on this ship on this sailing. Our trip departed from Miami on May 14th, 2022. We were originally scheduled to stop in Bonaire, Curacao, and then Aruba. Without any notification to us, the itinerary was changed a couple weeks ...
I chose this cruise because of the ports--Labadee, Aruba, and Curacao. I have been on the Allure twice before, more than ten years ago. She is a beautiful, very special ship, but most definitely showing her age and in need of an update.
We sailed at high capacity (5000) with 1200 crew. There were not enough crew to keep up with the masses. Some shops never opened, and I have to assume that was ...
Chose this cruise 6 weeks prior to departure. For us it was just a matter of comfort level and risk we were willing to take once we saw how COVID was coming out of winter. Wife and I have stuck with Norwegian and RC over the 8 cruises we did. Nothing on this cruise changed my opinion of RC in terms of using again.
We were on this same ship in 2014 so we knew what we were getting in terms of ...
