Many things wrong with this ship. Very outdated Ship, desperately needs a refurbish Most guests older, not a lot of kids Specialty Restaurants Giovanni's was ok, Chops was horrific I ordered a bone in rib eye so did my wife and we got, a different cut. Staff was friendly Windjammer was not same quality as the bigger boats Too many disappointments Ship should be named JUNK ...

We are a group of 11-13 who have cruised together for two years. This year we sailed Royal Carribbean's Jewel of the Seas from March 9th to March 16th. We sailed out of Puerto Rico. Half of our group stayed at the Marriott at Miramar, close to the cruise port. This hotel is old, dirty, and expensive. I would choose another location for the price. Embarkation day was the smoothest of any cruise ...

Disappointing Experience for Longtime RCL Cruisers

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Long-time RCL cruisers. First AND LAST time we let them choose our room (we were just going along with our group). I should have known as soon as I opened the first drawer on the chipped dresser and the front of it fell off! Had to pound it back together. Our veranda was a rusty mess! In need of paint but not on the floor and table that was splattered with old paint. We had soot rain down ...

First off I want to state that I am a Diamond member and as of writing this not far from Diamond Plus. The stops here were different which was one of the things I chose. Curacao Aruba Cartegena Columbia Grand Cayman Cozumel For those of you who do not know Curacao and Aruba are arid they are not tropical. So if you are looking for lush green vegetation it will not be there. ...

Cabin reeked of tobacco smoke

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

We've been on over 70 cruises, and this one was the worst. Our cabin wreaked of tobacco smoke. The casino wreaked of tobacco smoke. The pool area wreaked of tobacco smoke. Smoke was coming through the ventilation system. It got to the point where it was nauseating. We felt sick. The ship sold cartons of cigarettes... buy three get one free. In addition, Wi-Fi on the ship didn't work. Our ...

Not a great experience

The ship is not that well designed with some major bottlenecks such as the Grand Promenade on Deck 5. Not enough dining venues and limited hours for buffet. Flowrider had limited hours. Food and entertainment were mediocre. Wifi was expensive and very patchy in the cabins. Nobody enforces the the no-children rule on the adult-only deck. I have not been on many cruises but compared with my one ...

RCCL cruise quality slipping ... VOOM is garbage

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

Explorer of the Seas 17 April 2022 sailing. Masks were optional ... YEAH ! This was our 8th cruise on RCCL. SJU-St. Maarten- Sea Day-Aruba-Curacao-Bonaire-Sea Day-SJU. My initial impression is that RCCL - Explorer of the Seas is saving money in the wrong places. RCCL post-COVID is not equal to RCCL pre-COVID. Staff seemed over-worked and stressed and the boat was only 75% full. Food in ...

price change. Customer Service could not tell me what the price change was, I was to call my travel agent. We spent over 90 minutes with Customer Service to no conclusion with the exception they would try to get us a forward cabin after we set sail. I then called Costco and spent 90 minutes with them while they were discussing my issue with their Royal Caribbean contacts. Just to note that Costco ...

Went for a seven day Caribbean cruise. Casino was right in the middle of ship, column went up five floors. Stench from smoke in casino filled at least 70% of ship. Couldn't walk anywhere without getting nausea. First day of trip led you to Punta Cana which was locked down for the Sunday. ONly one store open. So what do you do ? Go to the mall which is half empty and only sells products ...

We chose this ship because of the itinerary which included Barbados Grenada Dominica St Maarten and St. Thomas. All of these islands are beautiful and a must see..Our disappointment is in the ship how poorly run down it is dirty eg bed bugs on the 4 floor and the overall service . Our first two nights we ate in the dining room. We found that the menu selection was very limited. If you do not like ...
