Beds are horrible and food is subpar

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

This cruise had the worse quarters for comfort as the beds were rock hard and the sofa was also so hard you couldn’t sit on it for any length of time. The food was plentiful at the buffet but it was of poor quality. The main dining hall meals were also sub par as the steaks were tough and the other meals were just fair. If you want to eat a lot of food all day and do not care about its quality, ...

There are management problem on this ship!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

This was our second Royal Caribbean Transatlantic crossing and what a contrast. Our 2018 trip was a real pleasure. This November 2022 cruise was plagued by mistakes. Almost every day there were last minute changes, conflicting and often duplicate scheduling of events on the ship. Repeatedly, crew made no seating or staging preparations for events. The Cruise Campus was a mess. Examples: Oe ...

A most disappointing cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

The Holy Land cruise was prior to the following transatlantic, so we got a 'good feel' for the Odyssey. We've had 8 cruises on RCCL, 4 of which were transatlantic and 1 transpacific. We sailed Celebrity 10 times, 4 of which were transatlantic. Towards the end of the first cruise, we came down with a mild case of Covid, despite having our shots and 4th booster. We were quarantined in our cabin for ...

$1billion ship badly let down!

Food? ...at best it was mediocre and at worst it was cold and poor quality! After being on half a dozen RCI ships, this was the biggest disappointment! (To make matters worse RCI pressure their dining room staff to get patrons to give high marks for the food or it affects their standing! The water has NOTHING to do with the quality of food... Shame on RCI!) ...RCI have introduced a new ...

Disappointing

We chose this cruise as we were supposed to go in 2020. The ship was beautiful! Our cabin and cabin steward were excellent! Some of the main dining room staff were inexperienced and require more training but were very pleasant and accommodating. The weather was unfortunately very windy and some of the tours were delayed or not enjoyable because of that. What turned out to be one of the worst ...

Wasted back to back cruise for a great itinerary (on paper)

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

After 16 cruises with Royal Caribbean in three and a half years (Diamond Members), I can say without a doubt that this is probably our last RCL cruise. Unfortunately, I can also honestly say they probably don't care and won't notice. Our first cruise on the Jewel was marginal at best for the ship but great for the ports so when we saw this cruise to the Holy Land, we booked it. While on the ...

Awful Ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Royal Caribbean should be ashamed to have such an old ship cruising on the seas. I expect more from them than this old and very rub down cruise ship. I was about to book another cruise on this ship for next year but no way after seeing the torn up and dirty ship. We have been on many cruises on RC but I can no longer recommend them to anyone I know. Take the ship off the seas. The food was ...

Probably the worst cruise ship I have ever sailed on

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

I wanted to go to the Greek Islands, specifically Santorini and Rhodes, I did a 18 day cruise on RC Radiance of the Seas the year before and although it was old, the food and entertainment were good. On Jewel of the Seas, there were no dance lessons, the food was way below standard for a cruise ship and the staff and cabins left a lot to be desired. Even the Americans on board were complaining ...

A very competently run cruise, but that’s all.

We picked this cruise for the Itinerary, time of year and our past successful cruises on RC. Unfortunately, this was our third straight cruise on this RC class ship and, perhaps, at no fault of RC, the cruise experience was fairly “just OK”. Everything going on on the ship including the ship layout just got way too familiar and, consequently, boring. So, I’ll try to fashion this review for ...

NOT THAT IMPRESSED

Whilst I saw some of the most amazing ports in the world. I was not so impressed with the cruise and its staff. Even thought our party of four all had MY TIME DINING, this was treated with complication for the staff, they had difficulty every night trying to find us table. And even once seated and orders takes we were moved again, only to be returned to the original table. Dinner was very ...
