Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

Took this cruise for the itinerary. Mykonos, Santorini & Israel. Unfortunately war broke out and the Israel stops were cancelled. Not RCL fault. Completely understood this. MDR food was ok. Much smaller portions served on BIG plates doesn't impress me. No lobster night (could pay $17.99 + 18% gratuity for a 4 oz tail). Onion soup great, but the cheese on top was like chewing bubble gum, too thick ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

I have been on the Empress, Freedom, Enchantment with upcoming cruises on Celebrity Ascent and Radiance. Enchantment has been my least favorite. I will say that the service was good. Drinks were good as well as the ports. This cruise was more about the itinerary than the ship. I would never recommend this ship to just be on the ship. Issues Cabins. Very dated. We were in a Junior Suite. ...

While it is not one of the best cruises I’ve experienced, as the room was not as clean as it appears. The wifi was expensive, you have to pay 100$ for unlimited soft drinks, The service was excellent. So many members in the cruise made us feel welcomed, appreciated and cared for. Now I can’t list down all of the crew members but ernesto and sarvesh and cleon the waiters, and safiya the janitor ...

Not good, not bad cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

We took this T/A RCL cruise because the price was unbeatable and because we got our Celebrity T/A cruise for the same period from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro cancelled. I am a Celebrity/Hal guy where I think the food are the best and they are the one keeping the real idea of cruising. RCL strives to isolate you from the sea, there is not even a place/table/bar/resto to sit and drink or eat outside ...

Fine ship lacking entertainment and quality of food

The ship overall has a nice lay-out. The crew was really great a high level of service from the Windjammer to the MDR The cabin boy did a great job. The food is not bad but at best mediocre. Well to be honest it was a little bit disappointing. Fish was most of the time really overcooked, so had to send it back Using the mandatory app to make reservations is a disaster. Lots of times ...

Nice ship, but not as we remember Royal Caribbean pre Covid

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

Before Covid we cruised on the Independence Of The Seas, whilst that ship was older and smaller it out classed the Odyssey of the seas by a clear mile. Firstly things like parades , well there weren't any. Secondly multiple theatre/Broadway style shows nighty and again there weren't any. Something big was missing on this ship, was it cost cutting? We as it Covid ? Or is this just how Royal ...

So I have cruised throughout my childhood and I have been on various cruises in the last 8 years but this was my first time with RC. Having watched the slick adverts for the biggest/newest boat my kids wanted to go on and do the waterslides/ice skating/ laser tag etc. We booked 5 months before sailing and there was only a handful of cabins left so we had a very limited choice and had a ...

Rhapsody Suites - watch which one you pick

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

We opted for a suite (Deck 8) . What we learned the hard way is that some of those suites (ours) were right underneath the pool deck and Windjammer. THE NOISE coming through our ceiling was loud and very disturbing. The sounds of people walking, running and tables and chairs being dragged, and chopping and banging noise up till 3am. It sounded like we were living underneath a factory. We paid ...

After researching cruise lines, ships, and itineraries, I chose this cruise as I was traveling with my 20-something daughter and wanted a younger-feeling crowd. In the end, that didn't matter as the only place on the ship where people gathered was the pool and karaoke. Otherwise, the crowd wasn't noticeable and there were just small interactions here & there. Our stateroom was nice. Yes, it ...

Wondering if you should purchase "The Key"

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

User Avatar

NEVER purchase "the key"! We purchased it mainly to be able to disembark before anyone else but enjoyed reading that there's other perks. You get quick lunch in the dining room (steak) when you first get on board, you get wifi for 1 device, 1 scheduled IFly, and 1 scheduled North Star, oh and let's not forget the small plate of fruit delivered to your cabin. We stood in line to disembark the ...
