We had the great pleasure of taking the July 31, 2022 cruise on the Liberty of the Seas to the Western Caribbean. As a little background, this was our thirteenth cruise with Royal Caribbean and our fourteenth cruise overall. Along for the cruise this time were myself, a fifty-something management consultant, my lovely wife, and our 22 year old son. We were also cruising with nine other people ...
We chose this cruise because it was sailing from NYC. We had never been and we wanted to save time and money by driving to the port. We also really wanted to do Coco Cay. Driving there was very easy. Parking at the port took about an hour and then another hour to check in. Once we boarded, we grabbed some lunch in the buffet and drinks. We got a great spot for sail away!
Our family of 6 ...
This was a family cruise with my daughter, son in law, and 4 year old granddaughter, who stayed in the adjacent room no. 8 204. It was supposed to have taken place this past December, but my granddaughter test positive for Covid and RCI refunded all of the fare with our any hassle. We chose this cruise because it departs from Brooklyn. We live in Long Island and this was a no-fly cruise. The ...
Went on Mariner of the Seas, 5 nights to Labadee and Coco Cay. Frequent cruisers but first time after just one on Royal Caribbean years ago. Was multi-generational trip including first cruise for 7 and 9 year old granddaughters. Selected this trip as two great ports and activities on ship and adjourning promenade rooms for 4 family members. Enjoyed the ports and would return to both private ...
Although the ship is a little old, recent renovations have kept it very current. The food was always amazing, the menu in the main dining room was so good we didn't feel like going to the specialty restaurants. The crew was always attentive to the passengers and happy to help us with any needs. The script is incredible, even without the stop in St. Petersburg, the Baltic Sea (due to the Ukrainian ...
Let me start off by saying this was not my first time on the Allure of the Seas. I was on this ship about 5 years ago, and was in awe of the architecture and entertainment on board. This time around I also was amazed by the sheer artistry of this ship. I'm going to break up this review in parts so it is easier to read.
FOOD:
The food was even better than I remember it being the first time I ...
Have been on a couple other cruise lines, but Royal Caribbean is always a favorite of our family.
Last Cruise we had our two teenage boys with us and although they were in the adjoining cabin, we rarely saw them. I was nervous initially about their age group (and the Allure has not been through the Royal Upgrade yet (with waterslides and bunch of other perks)) but there were so many ...
We were comped this cruise for gambling but it wasn't free after paying port, taxes, applications, tips and upgrade. If I had to do it again, I would reconsider. Starting with all the stress and anxiety with a Bermuda cruise, that in itself, would keep me home. We needed covid test. To be sure, when I called the number they supplied for Bermuda, I was instructed the monday before we left. ...
I wanted to take my daughter and my 2 oldest grandkids (ages 7, 8). Proximity to my location, and it was my 3rd cruise. The others were Royal Caribbean out of Galveston too. All of them have been short 4-5 day cozumel type cruises. This cruise ship was a lot smaller than the other 2 I've been on. There wasn't much to do outside. The pool was small and salty. The only other outdoor activities were ...
Well, where do i start. Ship is old and states that it had refirbushment. Well that may be but it still looks old. Our room balcony had been touched up with paint. Paint was over furniture and on ground. Obviously dont know about drop sheets to protect everything. No entertainement, as in broadway style shows that i have been on with Carnival and NCL (which have all been excellent). No comedy ...
