If all you want is a low priced vacation and you live in the Tri-State area this is a good option, but do not go out of your way to board this ship if your expectations are anything but low.
The cliental seem to think white sneakers and a T-shirt is appropriate attire 24/7. Even in restaurant that request gentleman wear a jacket, most men wore golf shirts - the guy next to me was in green ...
This is a nice boat but its like vacationing at an elementary school, kids running up and down the hallways, banging doors and anything else they can get their hands on.There is no supervision by any staff member so I guess some bodies going to have to get hurt before any proper supervision.Food is ok,buffet is maniacal with people charging every which way.The finer dining restaurants are good but ...
Great:
- My wife and two children (14/12) booked two adjoining cabins, 10524 and 10526, which was an excellent set up with inside pass through cabin doors and balcony all linked together, so we basically had two bathrooms, a full bed, and two twin beds...plus a huge balcony
- We had set up dinner reservations and shows for each night to ensure we were set long before the cruise
- The ...
We booked our cruise a year in advance and was very excited but it was short lived. We were suppose to board the ship at 12:15 but due to a virus outbreak on the cruise before us it was delayed. That was understandable and I was glad that they took extra time to sanitize the ship before we boarded. We didn't board the ship until around 2 p.m. and from that moment on it was a total nightmare. We ...
My wife and did the 8-night Bahamas cruise out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey on March 13, 2015. Overall, the cruise was okay. Definitely better than the Oasis we sailed 2 years ago. This boat is much less kid-oriented than the Oasis, which is a good thing for couples without kids. (Still TONS for kids to do, but not overkill like the Oasis).
We like the variety of food options, but I think they ...
Let me start out by saying my husband and I are seasoned cruisers. We have taken a total of 36 cruises on many lines including: Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Disney and Carnival. Our favorite line is Celebrity and our number two (thus far) is Royal Caribbean. We were truly looking foward to sailing from NJ as we live in NY. My nephew and his family also joined us. We arrived at the ...
Just came back from our disappointed cruise trip yesterday. This is the first vacation that we (group of 24) were looking forward for it to be over. I have to admit Quantum is a beautiful ship but beauty can only get you so far it the inside is rotten.
I would never set sail out of Bayonne again. You basically wasting 3 days inside the ship to get to Port Canaveral and 2 days to come back from ...
We sailed the Quantum of the Seas along with a number of of our extended family and friends. It is very sad, the ship was supposed to be the newest and very best that Royal Caribbean offers, but many were disappointed, including ourselves.
Ship- The ship is pretty but this does not feel like a Royal Caribbean ship. The designers tried to do too much with innovation and overlooked many of the ...
My family consisting of myself, husband, and two daughters have experience with cruising and Royal has been our primary cruise line. We were excited to book the new ship, the Quantum. We waited over 6 months from booking to cruising. I started reading reviews just prior to final payment and was getting concerned. I actually asked my husband to cancel and rebook another voyage. He wanted to ...
I just got off of the Quantum today and really felt the need to write a review for this ship. Just a bit of my cruising history first….I am Diamond Plus member sailing RCCL for the last 23 years with 29 cruises behind me. In addition, 15 cruises on various other lines. That being said, my family was chomping at the bit to go on this new innovative and technologically advanced ship!
First the ...
