A great ship but mediocre experience

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Wonder of the Seas

So let me start by saying I have mainly sailed Royal for all other cruises. The exception being 1 Norwegian and 1 DCL. My wife and I usually select Royal for the kid activities due to us having 3 demons ages 3-7. We also frequently sail during busy spring break/Easter so we know what to expect as far as crowds go. Unfortunately there were many negative things for me on this sailing that more or ...

Only Cruise line we have cruised with is Royal...we are Diamond Status and through the years we have taken our turn with our son to sit by the kid's area and such...always watched him. This was by far the worst cruise ever when it came to unruly teenagers and small kids left unattended in the so called "adult" pools. Again, pool chair hogs nowhere in sight and the staff to afraid of getting a bad ...

If you are a fan of the Oasis class ships then Wonder of the Seas will not disappoint you. She is a beautiful ship and offers all the amenities you expect from this class of ships. We traveled with family(grandchildren) and friends during Spring break peak week so we knew crowds would be an issue and that proved to be the case. Embarkation was quick and organized. Parking at the port is a problem, ...

We had to use a COVID credit before it expired so we chose this 3-night cruise on Royal Caribbean to Coco Cay which we love. We got to the port just after 11:00 a.m. and the check-in was very quick and easy. There was no need to explore the ship since we are Diamond Club members and have been on many RCCL cruises before so we headed to the Windjammer Buffet. This was the beginning of the worst ...

We chose this cruise ship because we cruised same ship in mid December. Then ship went into dry dock. It certainly did not make any improvements. If anything maintenance was lacking. Service in the Main dining room was very slow. Food brought luke warm. And they cut the menu in half. Asked for a paper cup to bring 2 coffees to our room and was told that I had to get them from bar on deck ...

Let me start by saying that we are cruise lovers. We have cruised on Viking, Oceania, Celebrity and Azamara as well as Royal. We are Diamond members and have been for years. Sadly, this will be our last cruise with RC. What was good. ALL staff and crew were EXCELLENT. Our cabin Stewart, Jose, was great as was our waiter Vikirn. The entire Diamond lounge crew were wonderful. We had an ...

I have sailed on all other Oasis-class ships so wanted to experience this one; plus I was with a 300-person group for the Tribute Festival. I have never felt crowded on any other Oasis-class ship but I did on this one. I can see that RCCL is marketing heavily to families with children - we had MANY of all ages, but especially very young - and the multitude of child-oriented areas, slides, etc. ...

We are platinum cruisers with RCL so we've been on a fair amount of RCL ships including Oasis and Harmony. We've always felt RCL provided good value for the price in terms of the overall experience, customer service, quality of the food, features of the ship, etc. However, our cruise last week on RCL's newest and currently largest ship in the world has caused us to conclude RCL standards have ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Jewel OTS is a Radiance class ship, and the right size (2,500 guests) for our taste. We've sailed on RCI several times, always choosing the mid-size ships, and the Jewel deck plan is one of our favorites. There is access to the bow on several decks for those who like to see where the ship is going. Our cabin was a 4B Spacious Ocean View (9240). Jewel is almost 19 years old and does show wear and ...
