As a Diamond member I have sailed quite a few times. This cruise was the WORST. We booked the cruise in 2021 for April 2023. 2 DAYS!!!, 2 DAYS!!! BEFORE we were to sail we were driving to Miami and I get a call from Royal saying the cruise was oversold and they sold our balcony room to someone else. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I never heard of this. I was given the choice ...

NOT VERY WONDEROUS

We chose this ship because it was their newest in the fleet. Yes, it is massive and along with that comes a massive amount of passengers, 6K plus!!! Those passengers included a huge amount of families with young children who ran amok through the ship making it difficult for seniors like us to find a quiet place, other than the Solarium, to relax, which by the way has no pool, only overcrowded ...

The first and last time sailing on Royal Caribbean

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

The first and last time sailing on Royal Caribbean. *Food: more variety than most cruise lines but inedible, always served cold at the buffet and main dining room worse than a school cafeteria.  The buffet took forever for the tables to be cleared, why not use carts to clear tables rather than removing a few plates at a time. My wife and I only went to the dining room twice on this 9 day ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Independence of the Seas

My wife and I took a last minutes 4 day Cruise on the Independence primarily due to price and proximity. It was our 25th overall cruise and 10th on RCCL. There is an adage you get what you pay for and this sailing was a perfect example. It really represented the worst of cruising and was certainly the low point of our many awesome Cruises. In fact, other than the cabin/cabin attendant and day at ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Wonder of the Seas

I am a Gold Crown & Anchor member, this was our 5th cruise on Royal Caribbean. It is a shame RC has lost their way and hopefully the CEO, Jason Liberty is paying attention…. More importantly I hope he is making changes. Either he will or his successor will be forced to. Wonder of the Seas was a beautiful ship. The parking was a total failure. They ran me around in a circle 3 times before i ...

Worst Cruise Ever Taken

Wonder of the seas……Nov 13 Our boarding experience was amazingly smooth. We boarded at 2:30. The early boarders had a very difficult time. But it was all worked out when we arrived. My first impression of the ship was just not good. Possibly I’ve read so much hype about this new ship that my expectations were just too high. The ship is obviously beautiful, but the layout is challenging. ...

Got Covid, Poor Sanitation in Stateroom, Bad Buffet

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

We had a credit from a previously cancelled, (because of Covid), cruise and decided to splurge on a mini suite. We discovered a serous safety issue. The cabin steward washed drinking glasses out in the bathroom sink and refused to provide sanitized glasses. This may be why we got covid? We were told not to drink water from the sink spigots as the water was super chlorinated. Food in ...

First, for some perspective, here’s a brief summary of my cruising experiences: • 30 cruises total, including this one. Seven on RCCL. • Have cruised to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Alaska, Mexican Riviera, North Atlantic, Bermuda, and St Lawrence River/New England. • Cruise durations ranged from 3 to 19 days. • Food variety, quality, and service are of primary importance. ...

Beautiful ship but staff needs a lot more training. Way overloaded and we got covid.

Looked like a great trip. Had done all of the paperwork and spent overnight in Cape Canaveral. Hampton there was excellent. Boarded very quickly although the staff at the desks had no organization. Still we got right on the ship and immediately the troubles started. As most are aware you really cant book anything until you are on the ship. well our app keeps telling us to go to guest relations. ...

Disappointed

Long lines, apathetic crew, mediocre to plain just bad food, drinks are just mixers, dirty plates left for hours in public/common areas, first and last Royal cruise. The activities weren’t nearly enough for this many guests. People sitting on the floor at trivia. Got the drink package, always a 30 minute line if you want a milkshake from Jonny Rockets. The cruise director seemed like he ...
