Return to Cruising/Bachelor Party

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Independence of the Seas

I chose this cruise because I was looking for a great option for my Bachelor Party that would be reasonable and have most of the expenses folded in for my travel party. We did a 3 Day Sailing from Canaveral with a Day at Sea & Coco Cay; this sailing originally had Nassau on the Itin, but I believe it worked out better without it. Sailing in a Post-Covid World is interesting. At the time of the ...

This was our first cruise on Royal. We’ve never cruised on RCL before but we got an excellent deal and the timing was right. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and thought it was a good value for what we paid. If you haven’t read my stuff, I like to separate my reviews into ‘the good’ ‘the bad’ and ‘the ugly,’ so here goes: ‘The good’ – The food and main dining service were by far the best part of ...

Cruise was selected by my girlfriend and as substitute due to COVID postponement last year. Embarkation from Port Canaveral was swift but teadeous as proof of COVID test was shown to staff four times. Traveled as a older couple with majority of passengers being elderly. We had a large comfortable jr suite, with bath tub, oversized balcony and closet with the most comfortable king bed I ...

NO MORE bidding up for us !

I give high score for the cleanliness onboard, food was delicious in the dining room, especially considering it was a 4 night cruise. Wait staff and the rest of the crew were fabulous, my only issue was with the bidding up option. We did bid up from our oceanview balcony for a suite, and the Friday before sailing they "Congratulated us" for winning the bid to a cabin 203 square feet with a smaller ...

WE were on our 50th annivesary with Kids and grandkids .. previous two cruises were cancelled because of covid . .. The ship was not filled , so I was suprised to see we were not upgraded as we are Diamond cruisers . Entertainment was sparse , no daily shows in the Amber auditorium ... But Mama Mia was a great show with only 10% of the seats filled .. Food in the main dining room was ...

I know context can be important for these reviews, so to give an idea of demographics, we are a married couple in our mid twenties with no children. It was my second cruise, and my husbands first. As you can imagine, we were not as affluent as the majority of the cruise goers, and also were quite a bit spry in comparison with the demographics of this cruise (the cruise was almost entirely made up ...

Long time traveler on royal. Diamond plus. Signature at casino royale. Ship less than 1/2 capacity. So not crowded. Staff excellent especially in coastal kitchen, suite lounge, solarium restaurant, and windjammer. Staff made guests feel welcome. Cabin attendant was excellent. Kept room perfect stocked with ice. Casino was the opposite. Slots not paying off. Worse than any ...

Great to be back Cruising Again!

We were excited to be back on the high seas and it was our first cruise on an Oasis Classed ship. Our last cruise was in 2018 on Celebrity Reflection. We have been on 15 cruises with several RCCL, Celebrity, Carnival, HAL, and Princess. Celebrity had been our favorite up until the last experience with them. We tired of the endless beatings for the drink packages, automatic tips, reduced offerings ...

I went to the Bahamas, for a weekend cruise, on Mariner and I just got home on Monday. I can't tell you much about the ship because I only saw my cabin, the "Pub" on the Promenade, the Diamond Lounge and the main dining room (MDR). Seriously, I never went to any of the outside "things to do" on the ship. I can tell you there is a Starbucks on deck 4 and it wasn't covered by my drink package. The ...

Coco Cay was Perfect Day

My late husband of over 35 years and I had over 30 cruises on RCI. I was longing for a cruise experience but didn’t know if I could survive a 7 night cruise as a solo. I selected Mariner of the Seas 4 night out of Port Canaveral for two reasons; it sailed just over two hours away from my home and it went to Coco Cay! Overall, the experience was a little sad. Protocols prevented opportunities to ...
