Mixed emotions on this cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

We chose this cruise specifically for the ship, Harmony of the Seas. We made the mistake of choosing a cabin that was on the 14th deck, in the very back, just 4 cabins from the very aft end. The closest elevator was approx. 100 yds towards midship. At 71 years old, that's a hike every time you want or need to go somewhere. RECOMMENDATION: CHOOSE CABIN TOWARDS MIDSHIP AND CENTRAL PARK (INSIDE ...

Great Cruise, but foul taste due to RC Corp office and their customer service

This was my second RC Cruise and probably my last. Its not because I didn't enjoy the trip. I thought the cruise itself was great, but an issue arose before the cruise and multiple attempts to work with RC even at the Executive Level to rectify the issue went down the drain. At a corporate level RC needs to be more accommodating to their customers especially those with young kids. As for ...

Embarkation in Port Canaveral outstanding. The ship is like a beautiful indoor high end mall. This 7 night sailing was during Thanksgiving break with families everywhere celebrating this time of year, the ship may have been at passenger capacity. This was only a problem when/if you needed an elevator, wanted to eat at the buffet Windjammer or during the ridiculous safety drill, where they stuffed ...

Loyal to Royal.. We are Diamonds. I have to give RCCL high marks for their help with people with disabilities. We traveled with our friends with one having MS. The room they had was perfect. RCCL put lots of thought in this room so a physically handicap person had ease in usage especially in the bathroom. I would tell anyone who is in a wheel chair or motorized chair not to hesitate to take a ...

This was our 14th sailing with Royal Caribbean, of which three were on Oasis that we loved. Sadly, even though she's a beautiful ship, all in all, Harmony was a let-down for us in several important areas. The most notable sore point of this cruise was our Main Dining Room experience. Even though our waiter, Roque, worked very hard to please, and always wore a great smile, the quality and ...

Harmony of the Seas Halloween cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

My husband and I have cruised on Halloween before and really enjoyed it so we thought we would give the Harmony a shot. The ship was nice newer than Oasis. We chose a Boardwalk balcony. The bed was as hard as a rock. We did request additional padding, but that didn’t help. The Abyss slide obstructs you’re view so you are unable to watch any shows from your balcony. The room was very nice and clean ...

Ok but not great

Embarkation - easy and quick. The cost of parking at Port Canaveral has gone up significantly - now $85 Monday to Friday. Food - distinctly average in the MDR on my time dining. Dinner took 2 hours every night. 30 minute wait before ordering. We were a large party but it just took too long. Food was average to good but absolutely none of it was hot. It also took ages to get drinks and we rarely ...

This was our 9th cruise on Royal; and if it had been our first, there wouldn't have been a second. Embarkation was fast and efficient. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the cruise. Didn't care for the fact that there is no pool in the solarium. Boring shows, except for headliner Tony Tillman, complimented boring breakfast, lunch and dinners in the MDR. Why is the nearest bar to the MDR ...

This was our first cruise as a couple after 20 years or so cruising with family. We took our first RCCL cruise back in 1997 and have taken around 25 cruises in that time, around half of them with RCCL. It is sad to see how far this line is prepared to go, to erode the cruise experience totally. I'm sure those relatively new to cruising won’t know any different and so don’t know what they ...
