RCL has good reputation, have used before, and a group was going. The food in the main dining room was very good. The entertainment in the main theater was kind a hit or miss, Aa couple of shows were very good and have several shows lacked spark of high entertainment value. This was definitely NOT a "WOW" c ruise. I went on the Explorer of the Seas on her Best of British Columbia 4 night cruise with my mother. As she doesn't cruise much [this was her 6th cruise] tended to think everything was GREAT & I should automatically know everything as this was my 19th cruise.

We chose this particular cruise as it took us to a different location and fit our vacation schedule. We have been on many cruises on other cruise lines but not Royal Caribbean Lines. We had heard that the service was incredible and that the food was fantastic.

I chose this cruise because of the cost. Inside cabin was ok. No coffee table any more so I had the cabin steward move on the bedside tables in front of the loveseat. Food was for the most part so-so. Only a few dishes to rave about(lamb was excellent and Drunken Kalhua cake fantastic). We choose this cruise for the convenience and location to the house. The ship itself is amazing. It is very nice. However, it goes down hill from there. The customer service agents look like they are held at gun point to work there. They are not friendly by any means. Never participate in small talk and there faces are frozen in the frown position.

i wanted to see the West Coast, mainly San Francisco, Seattle, Oregon and other parts of California. The ship was beautiful and the cabin was excellent. My cabin was an outside cabin. I was in cabin 3608. The Anytime Dining was not organized. You could not get a table for 2 unless you wanted to eat at 7:30 P.M. or later. Anyone who ate at 5:30 P.M. for dinner had to share a table. Driving up to the Explorer of the Seas at Smith Cove in Seattle, you see how large this ship is. We arrived at 11:00. Which was perfect timing. Not too busy yet. The good:
1. Lunch and dinner buffet, the best we've had in 10 cruises. Large variety, very good vegetables, food is hot, very nice selection of curries at lunch and dinner, some of which were outstanding. There is always cut fruit that is very good like it was just cut up.
