I have heard so much about cruises that I must take another one since the 60s. This is indeed an excellent surprise. The staff were all very courteous and diligent in their work.
I was impressed by the dinning room service which was more than excellent. The drink waiter, Budi was very good and the food waiter Simi was always courteous in his service.

Unlike the previous weeks reviews on this ship, we had an all-around good experience. The only downfall was in the Chops Grill. The food was excellent as usual, but the service was terrible. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at the port at 10:30 am and were in the Windjammer at 11:00. We have sailed on many of the RCI ships and have never had a cruise we didn't like. The Explorer was no exception.

Excellent time on the Explorer doing a 7 night run from Seattle and back. We came very close to cancelling this booking based on a series of bad no, scary terrible reviews on here. This cruise started off on the bad side, the port of Los Angles/San Pedro, had the ship way away from all normal docking slips and had 4 cruise ships in that morning. We loved this ship and itinerary. The crew was the best of all the cruises we have taken. We live in California and it was nice to visit port cities we have visited previously by car. No restaurant or parking hassles! Cruising into San Francisco under the Golden Gate was awesome! We were met by whales at the entrance of the Bay. That was memorable to say the least.
