Worst cruise I have ever been on

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

We thought this was going to be a grand voyage and luxurious. I read the critics from the European sails. I should have listened. I did not follow through because it was convenient due to my elderly parents. Everything the European complaint about was true and Royal Caribbean never improve. We thought we had a upgrade they put us on the top floor. It turn out the cleaning starts at 5 am in the ...

Poor Technology Despite a "Techy" Ship

We had a very bad experience on this ship. What is BAD: 1. When we arrived at the port, they had us stand in line for > 1hr, even though we did an online checkin. There were also no sign at the port, no one knew where to go. 2. We tried to make several entertainment reservations on the ship using their app, which just failed completely. It was totally irresponsive until the 3rd or 4th ...

We have cruised RCL for many years with fantastic results. It appears that RCL is cutting costs in every way imaginable. We are not complainers, know that things happen and are generally quiet people. We booked a Suite for this cruise. The room was dirty beyond belief and much to my dismay, the bed was hard as a brick. This had never been the case in the past. We called to see if ...

My friend and I were very excited to take our first Royal Caribbean Internal cruise. We have been through a lot the past year and we were very much looking forward to some fun, sun, and relaxation. We spent more than planned on this trip and to say we were disappointed would be a major understatement. Throughout the trip we wrote down the issues that came up for us and this review with be based on ...

This cruise was my 8th and my wife's 4th cruise and our 4th with RCCL. We left our house in Westchester county New York at 11:30am and arrived at the port around 12:15pm. I will start with embarkation from dropping off our bags, we went right on board and up to our room as we opened the door our luggage was right behind us (about 30minutes). The room was clean and ready. We used the Specialty ...

Worst Cruise Yet

How to ruin a great ship, add lots of dinning rooms, charge extra for most, add more reservations, provide lousy service, call it dynamic dinning. Be aware menus repeat after only a few days in the complimentary dining rooms. Entertainment, Mamma Mia, reservation was not available when we finally got out of the dining room, so we missed that performance. The other two main shows were not ...

Overcrowded let down

Our family of 4 (two 8 yr old boys) have sailed RC a few times before and have always been delighted. To save up $ for vacation and look forward to it as the months wind down is always so exciting and bonds our family. From the moment we got on this ship, I've wanted to cry from all the stress, rudeness of crew and other passengers, ineptness of how the boat should function, etc. It has been ...

These mega ships have added rooms but not increased amenities or staff. I have taken several cruises in the past and enjoyed them thoroughly. This is the firs time on one of the mega ships and discovered that there are so many people that much of your vacation time is waiting in line. They draw you in with water slides, climbing wall, zip line and pools but they are so crowded or not working ...

My wife and I booked this cruise with my boss and co-workers family's. This was our 10th Royal Caribbean cruise (best ship is the Allure hands down). We departed Cape Liberty New Jersey. It's the first time we've drove to the ship as we usually fly to Florida but this time the location lent itself to driving it from Michigan. Great choice. The drive was great and the parking is so easy at the ...

nice sip, well laid out on the inside. outside is a different matter. I like to go outside on the deck that goes around the ship. you know, the deck usually on the deck where the guest relations desk is. I like to stand at the railing and watch the world go by, or sit in a lounge chair and take in my surroundings or read a book. not on this ship. they have machinery and lifeboats in the way and ...
