Loved Anthem of Seas, GREAT for Families!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

My family and I went on this 9 day cruise to celebrate my nieces Sweet 16. We all had a blast. This ship has so many activities for adults and kids. I especially enjoyed the North Star, RipCord, Rock Climbing and Bumper Cars. We cruised 4 days, which many think it too much time on a ship but it wasn't, Royal does a great job at keeping everyone entertained. My family and I would do some activities ...

Anthem keeps getting better

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary from NYC. We are tired of Orlando Bahamas, and ships leaving from NY just don't have itinerary like we were used to when Princess and Carnival were regular departures. Departing ships have become rather pricey and offer little in the way of longer (9-12 days) Southern and Eastern Caribbean during the shoulder season, when we prefer to travel (kids in ...

Anthem 5/17 Bermuda/Carib: solid as usual with the usual few annoyances

23rd cruise, 18th on Royal. We enjoy this itinerary (it's the only one we've seen with a day stop in Bermuda, we like San Juan because they park in Old San Juan, we love Labadee because we do the zipline, we love St. Maarten because we love the airport). GOOD: The breakfast variety has gotten better (e.g. round oniony potatoes instead of Burger King little tots). The trivias have ...

The ship was incredible, the food, service and entertainment 5 star. The decor on the ship is outstanding, the staterooms with a small balcony are very roomy. We were very lucky with the weather not a cloud in the sky for 9 days. The island we visited was Bermuda, St. Martin, Porto Rico and Labadee. Labadee was an amazing experience, you spent all day on the beach relaxing and the crew brings ...

We've done 4 cruises total with Royal Caribbean and I was a little hesitant to do a cruise on the Anthem after reading some of the reviews about how crowded the "mega ships" were. Our previous cruises were on the Grandeur and the Serenade which were both smaller ships. Let me say, please don't let those reviews deter you! Honestly, our experience with Royal Caribbean has always been ...

Anthem of the Seas - Just OK

This was our second cruise on this ship. The first was over a year ago over the Christmas/New Year holidays which was fun! We drove the day before from Western NY to Newark which was "not so fun." Newark was horrible to drive through even as directed by our GPS. We stayed at the Best Western Plus located near the port on International Way. This was our third stay at this hotel where we left ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and not many lines do the Caribbean in May. We did enjoy our cruise but will not be choosing to do any with Royal Caribbean again. We found the Main Restaurant Menu very repetitive every night - you may get one change each night ! Not very exciting. The entertainment was awful to say the least, there was one band ‘The Royal Swedes’ they were ...

The ship was not as great as everyone made it sound. Everything being located in a general area made it feel overcrowded during the cruising days. You also feel like you are being herded like cattle whenever there was an event or even trying to get to the Windjammer dinning room (the buffet). I wouldn't do this cruise again, and when I expressed my disappointment to guest services, they did ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

My sister and I, both first time cruisers, went to Bermuda May 12th on Anthem of the Seas. We drove 3 1/2 hours to Cape Liberty from where we live in N/E PA. The embarkation process is very easy and the port staff were super helpful and polite. Marisol checked us in and she was lovely!!! The ship was truly beautiful. The only complaint I can say about the decor was every elevator, which ...

We chose to sail on Royal Caribbean for our first cruise because I wanted lots of fun, but not a frat party environment. Embarkation was super easy! We drove to port from PA (3 1/2 hr. drive) and the parking was super easy. We had zero problems getting all checked in. We arrived at the port early, just before 9 am, and the process of getting on the ship was relaxed. We boarded the ship ...
